First Results -- Russian Lomo Lubitel 166

among the gear from her Deceased Dad given by a Kind Lady I found in a cardboard box a Russian Lomo Lubitel 166 in mint condition! I have finally tried it out with a roll of 05/2005 dated Fuji NPC 16- which i rated 100 ASA and home-processed. I used a tripod. The small 'focus area' is difficult to see. the LENS looks sharp enough but I didn't take any at 'Full Aperture ' as shutter goes only up to 1/250th. Metering was with a Weston Master V set to 'Incident Light' measurement. As I have NO 'Film Scanner working' now I had to photograph the Negatives with my PENTAX K10D on my LPL Enlarger lamphouse and 50mm f4 SMC Macro-Takumar lensd in C41.

I had to 'reverse' the negs to positives in FastStone IMage Viewer and colour correct as best as possible.

Those are nice Pete. I had a Lubitel 166B which was very sharp - in the center at least - but, like yourself, I found it to be an absolute b*gger to focus with the small faux-ground glass screen.
