Hi all

From my recent'ish Kingfisher Hide day, I took many photographs but almost by accident......I was trying for diving sequences ;) ......I ended up with a set that I could turn into a GIF of the sequence of the dive and its catch back on the perch.

The blotchy background AFAIK is down to the GIF dithering but the variation in the 'darkness' of the BG is down to my PP'ing.......................but heh I like the end result......................and hope you do too ~ enjoy :)

PS Taken with the Olympus E-M1 mk2, 40-150mm & x1.4TC using ProCap Low settings

Thanks all, glad it appeals to more folk than just me :woot::olympus:

Greats stuff, makes a refreshing change from the usual kingfisher stuff we see in here,

excellent capture, well done to you to have to have the frame of mind to do something different with a kingfisher shot / shots.

Brilliant
Nicely done :)

That is brilliant, very nicely done.
brilliant.
Interesting series and a good way to show them.
I love the way he turns to camera to show off his catch
Refreshingly different, love it!

Many thanks for all the comments - I try to "see" things but in this case without ProCapLow it would have been Oh so very difficult......nigh on impossible without a specialist trigger rig :)

As mentioned in another thread I was in/at the hide for about 7.5 hours and got lots a slight variations of portraits as stills but I had pre-prepared one of my Custom Settings to try for 'action' shots but this sequence just stood out when I did a bit of chimping and thought....'will just have to wait and see once on the computer'. In my first culling of files I actually deleted the "empty perch ones" but then realised that I needed it, so restore from the recycle bin to make a narrative sequence and the above if the end result. :)

Well worth the effort imo

For sure, though by the end of the day I was kn***ered but well pleased with the time spent there and the number of keepers I managed to get after the significant culling exercise :)

That's great fun Laurence, really cool...........thanks for the back story and for sharing, best of all glad you had a great day.
