Not sure if this is a bargain and/or suitable for this section but I thought I would share it.
John Lewis Exeter have one brand new Nikon 200-500 AF-S ED VR f/5.6-32 with a damaged box for £789.
JL 2 year guarantee too!

Great deal, even at £1200 it’s still a very good and cheap (in comparison) lens

So at this it’s a steal

I have both and they are different ... Sigma has an additional 100mm and the Sport is weatherproofed which does matter, Nikon has constant f5.6, which also matters.
It has to be a decision based on what your friends photography consists of.
 
Although having looked around the initial rrp was 1299 but many places are doing them for 984 now. Suggests that they aren’t as popular as maybe Nikon thought they might be if sales aren’t meeting expectations
 
If I used my Nikon system more (and/or didn't have the Fuji 100-400), I would be very tempted by this, especially since it's only about 2km away!!!
