Much like the 60Da and Nikon’s D810a the new canon Ra is built for astro photography.

30mp full frame mirrorless 4K video and 30x magnification

Pre order on canons site is coming in at a hefty £2,579.99

I’m excited to see what this can produce but will wait for that price to come down a fair bit.

It's basically exactly the same as the EOS R, as far as I can tell, with two significant changes:
  • modified infra-red filter (4x as much transmission in H-alpha band)
  • up to 30x magnification in live view mode, presumably to facilitate pin-point manual focus
I'm sure it will be a great tool for the job, but it's very pricey.
 
. Was hoping for something other than this for the next R. I have been a Canon user for a very long time and wish they would stop messing about.
