A moody Thursley landscape :D
Lovely might give it a visit at some point :)

lol that means the best Macro lens they make don’t even make it out of the estate!

But only in this thread. :)

I'm happy with my council-house lenses - they are generally better than anything I had on Nikon before this, and do pretty much what I want them to. :D

they always do that, they have like 1 in stock to sell at that price, Chinese sellers love doing that to build hype.

Yep, tried to get one at exactly 8am when it started and they wanted $666 haha

I second the E-M1 which is still decent body unlike the Y1M1 which is mostly unusable :p

It's interesting that of my top 10 photos on flickr, there isn't a single one now that was taken with my D610, and the only image that wasn't taken with my A7 is an infrared image shot using a converted D70. 2 of the pictures were shot using the Samyang 50 f1.4 that I only had for a couple of weeks before selling it to buy the 24-105, and I wish I'd been able to keep that lens. One of the pictures was taken with my council house 35 f2.8 and one with a manual focus Nikkor 135 f2.8.

I have worked to promote my pictures in recent months, but never the less it's a change I'd not have expected.

You just made me go and look at my stats, not done that for a long time. Can’t believe how many of them have got over 1,000 views! Might start uploading a little more to Flickr

Had some terrible lighting effects this weekend using the A73 indoors on silent.

They have installed new lights in the indoor area and in silent mode the A73 did not like them!!

What was your shutter speed? Beyond 1/1000s you shouldn't even be using EFCS let alone silent shutter.
A9/ii are pretty much the only bodies capable of shooting action with SS.

Had a great time at Night motor race in Brands Hatch yesterday, pity the Brabham BT62 didn't finished the race I was there for this car debut :(

Any problems with the Sony A9 for focusing in the low-light? Did you use the silent shutter? :)

Yeah SS all the way with Canon 500mmII - focus hunt a little on this beast but I expect it to be but performs slightly better after the new FW upgrade with animal AF.

Much better acquisition with Sony 100-400mm though, it just locks on.

I went to this small little fielded/wooded area last Saturday. It's about 2½ miles from home, ¼ from where my mum's lived since 1995 (and me '95-'99) & less than a ¼ of a mile from where I work........

Doorstep Photography :) A7 & 40/1.2

Love finding little local gems, must get out with the camera and do something other than portraits.

I go the slightly more direct way into work, but take the link road on the way home if I go to the gym (usually) & this area is right on either side of the link road. Certainly impressed with it. It's in a low area too so does get a bit of mist & fog at times.
