Hello All,

Can anyone please recommend a mannequin head suitable for practising lighting for portrait photography?

Difficult to find a good one, because none of them reflect light in a similar way to real skin, so although you can experiment with light positioning, you won't see realistic results.

But if you do get one, it's best to get one that has glass eyes, not painted eyes. That way you will at least get catchlights in the eyes that are fairly accurate.
 
Many thanks for the advice Garry. Glass eyes makes a lot of sense. Probably expensive though.
 
Thank you for your reply, and I think I agree with you! Maybe I'll bribe my grandchildren to visit more often for practise :)
