Adobe Black Friday Deal for Photographers

Thanks for that, took out the trial last Sunday and payment was due to be processed this Sunday at £10 a month, spoke to them via web chat and they cancelled my trial and started me straight away on the new deal......
Not a lot but every little helps
Many thanks Gogster

If I cancel my current monthly subscription am I able to re-start on this discounted price using the same account? I might wait until the Black Friday, maybe there'll be a better deal then.

I was due to restart my monthly subscription today. I cancelled renewing it and they offered me two months free which I have taken. I will buy an annual subscription on the Black Friday event and cancel my monthly payments which are due to restart in January. Mind you I currently get the £8.32 a month deal with the VAT knocked off so it is a decent price anyway.

If you are already a subscriber to Adobe paying monthly, IIRC you can buy the code for annual sub ( £69 odd on black Friday last year) and when you use the code monthly payments are suspended until the 12 month code expires.

That's a great bargain, will definitely be on the lookout for it

That is what I do too. I believe they are stackable so you can buy two and get two years for the bargain Black Friday price. Hope they do the same this year.

They do don’t they? At least they do on the pre paid 20GB Adobe photography plan I use. My website is created and run using Adobe Portfolio. I think you can create more than one website using Adobe portfolio now.

Adobe Portfolio is listed as part of the 20GB photography plan here:

They do, or at least did - I am using it!

I have never seen this page before, thanks guys now I'm considering it.

See my post above - I'm not allowed to buy the cheap deal because I've already paid more for it.

It's only 20 quid a year or something difference but you know, every little helps :) Plus I would also pay an extra 20 quid for them not to keep breaking the product if it can't phone home.

When talking about being stackable that’s the pre paid subscription and not this deal that looks like it starts a new licence (looks like it’s a new user deal rather than an existing user deal).

You can add a pre paid subscription to an existing licence. Buying a pre paid subscription puts the monthly payment on hold for a year whilst the pre paid subscription runs. It worked last year as a friend of mine did it.

Can i buy the black Friday code, and redeem it in a few months? I've just started a 60 day free period which Adobe offered when I tried to cancel my subscription. I'd like to use that up before I start a new sub.

If you are buying the black friday 12 month sub usually offered by Amazon it adds to your existing subscription so you would have thought it was just add to the 60 days you currently have. Probably best to check with Adobe's online chat though. I bought a couple of them the last time they where on offer and just stacked them against my existing subscription.

can you download it to more than 1 device ?
as i have an i mac for the house and a MacBook laptop for going out with

Does anyone know when this goes live as I've subscribed for the last 3 years without any discounts so this would be great.

The only annual deal with a discount at the moment appears to be for Lightroom CC rather than LR Classic.... I assume other offers may follow..

Lightroom CC rather than LR Classic

Just to clarify double and triple check the details before committing. Most will want full photography plan and these will be next to useless for many including myself.

I'm on the Photography plan (20GB) @ £9.98/mo, this is £119.76 per year so if I can buy a years plan for cheaper I'll do that.

I changed my £9.98 plan over to this one last night. Easy to do through the chat window (y)

We're 3 days in (Amazon BF) - does anyone think they will do the £70 offer for the photography plan? I bought it last year during black Friday, but that expired last week* so I need to renew ...

* just so you know, if you don't close Lr once it's expired it continues to work - I guess if I closed and restarted it then it would stop working

It was £70 on Friday evening but only until midnight. Don’t know if they will reduce it again in the next week

Has anyone else read the reviews on amazon from July 2019 onwards? They read as if Adobe has closed the loophole regarding purchasing the pre paid subscription at a discount rate and adding to an existing monthly subscription account can’t be done or just adding additional months on to an existing pre paid subscription can’t be done either.

Anyone got an recent experience of this?

Edit: I’ve noticed google had loaded amazon.com rather than co.uk but it’s interesting Adobe may be trying to close the loophole in the US.

It looks like there's no deal on the Photography package this year?

Nope the deal is just on the Lightroom CC only package for £69.99, but this doesn't include Photoshop or LR Classic. It does include 1Tb storage though. Last year the photography plan with 20Gb storage was £74.99. Bit of a shame I was hoping I'd avoid paying a tenner a month for another year

Fingers crossed for Cyber Monday...
Let’s hope so but it makes sense that there won’t be one if adobe are pushing the cloud based version instead. To them it makes business sense to push the cloud based system because that’s the next future revenue stream. 1TB cloud storage isn’t going to enough for many and they will likely need to add more storage at more cost at a later date.

I have been taking advantage of the reduced Prime Day/BF deals for a couple of years, my CC subscription through previous offers is about 18 months in credit. The shift from standalone to "Software As A Service" is becoming the standard model, what I hope is that with the reduction in pirate copies & the increase in users, means they can still make more money but give better value to the user. Adding in extra's does not help & 1TB on the scheme of things is not a lot - possibly naive & simplistic of me, but we can live in hope!!!
