Well, Xmas has gone and I think the wife and I are trying to see who can spend the most the quickest, she is winning.
But, I think I am getting the best value.
I traded my Sprint GT1050 for a Honda nc750x dct. For those that don't know, it's a 6 speed manual box with an auto dual clutch. I have for some time really struggled with manual shifting a bike and the Sprint was a particularly heavy clutch, test bike seemed ok but my one seemed much heavier. Tried to sort it with a gizmo that went in line with clutch cable but it didn't work. The bike was also far too top heavy and I dropped it twice when virtually stationary, very slight cosmetic damage. So I bit the bullet and thought about a scooter, test drove a silver wing, hated it. Dealer suggested a dct bike, never heard of them, but basically very car like auto, including paddles and sport modes.
So after a test ride I bought one, I swapped out 125 bhp for 54bhp. What I have list in horse power I gave gained in rideability.
There are many videos about the NC (Nancy?), Mostly praising it but it seems to split the biking fraternity down the middle. All I know is I can ride again as much as I like in any traffic, got my biking mojo back, want to ride again and really enjoy riding again. Even muddy country lanes are now back as ok, with the Sprint I would have been terrified riding the roads I rode yesterday. U turns are fine, although without a clutch they are still less than perfect but to be fair I would never have even attempted one on the Sprint.
Don't get me wrong as a load carrying motorway mile muncher the Sprint was great but no longer the bike I needed.
To some the NC will never be a real bike, but for me it's so much better than a scooter or a too heavy fast tourer, I am really looking forward to just riding again and taking out my Fuji gear stowed in where the petrol tank should be
:)

pics please, my wife has an old CBF500 and loves it

No point in having a bike you’re nervous about riding - or more accurately dropping - as it’ll suck all the fun out of it and then what’s the point!
You’re looking forward to riding it - nothing else matters!
