The Fabulous Fuji X owners thread

My Fuji refurb X-E3 arrived this morning. Spent some time getting to know it and then my neighbour dropped in for a cuppa.

This is with my Nikon Mount Tokina 100mm f2.8 macro on an adaptor.

Lovely image Simon, you can go higher too on the iso on this great little camera.

Has anyone tried the 1.4 and 2x TC's and can comment on IQ and AF speed please?

Also, for those that have bought from the Fuji refurb store what has the general cosmetic condition of the gear been like, and have you had any issues selling the gear at a later date?

Just realised, about 80% of these will be on the 100-200 with the 1.4....

With the purchase of my first Fuji lens approaching (56mm f1/2) it may be a little while before I’ll be able to afford a walk around native zoom lens and I’ll probably be after a Nikon 70-200 f2.8 first as I miss my 70-200mm f4 terribly. I’m wondering if anybody can offer advice on a vintage or adapted prime lens which is fairly compact, cheap and fun to use with the same fov as a 35mm lens on a full frame. I was considering a Nikon compatible lens as I have a Nikon adaptor and it would mean I could use it on my D750 too however it’s not essential. I used to love the cheap apsc sigma lenses on my Sony A6300 but wondering if they are an option for Fuji with an adaptor? Any photos with vintage or adapted lenses to tantalise my photo buds?

Nikon 24mm f2.8 d

There might be an E series version, not sure.

The above is welded to my film Nikon, but I intend to prise it off for my new X-E3

Pricing for the XT-4 been leaked apparently £1699
Fuji Rumors says $200 more than X-T3 which would make it nearer £1500-£1550, most of the time they are on the money - no pun intended

Either way, that`s out of my budget (thankfully ;))
The big IBIS sounds good though. Still got a bit of GAS lol but it`s easing :)

I certainly won't be jumping in on an X-T4 early doors, I have the IBIS covered with the H1, the T3 is still very capable, and I don't need anything better as it stands, I will see what reviews are like and then set myself a maximum price and take it from there. I must say I never really fancied the X-Pro 3 but that is not whetting my appetite now I have the XPrp 2 and Xpro 1 on the way. It will depend on my bonus this year :D

You got wayyyyyy too many already ;)

Could get 3 x XT2s for that. :)

I‘m having a rare sensible moment and not getting interested in the XT4. My XT2 does the job just fine and I’ve spent enough on camera gear this year. Well, actually I’m still in profit after ditching Nikon. :p I think I’d be better spending the money on a couple of (photographic) holidays.

This could of course all go out the window when the thing is actually released...

Just been in Pembrokeshire for a few days, trying to get photos in Storm Dennis (some success, we missed the worst, but west-facing beaches were a bit brutal). First proper tryout for my Benro geared tripod head, which I would warmly recommend to any landscaper who doesn't mind slowing down a little compared with a ballhead. Very solid, very precise. Will be sorting through the Welsh shots for a few days, but in the meantime here's another swan photobombing one of my landscapes. Persistent offender, this one... :)

Maybe I should be looking for a 27mm f2.8 instead of a vintage lens and get AF. Does anybody use the 27mm as a casual walk around? Rough second hand price? Would it be a good marriage with the X-H1?

E-infinity were selling them very cheaply recently. Still listed at almost give-away price but oos at the moment. Grey supplier and I’ve never used them myself but plenty here have.

You've done a great job on the processing. Not sure if it's my cup of tea, but it's certainly been done well.

I'm in North Wales during May with the Mini club, hope to get a day a bit of time with the camera, I love these slate mines.

Dinorwic is the biggest most accessible one - park at the Bus Stop loop and walk in (If you look at maps the bus stop loop is easily identifiable), but you really need poor weather to make the most of them, they are not at their best in bright sunshine. Just take care - we don'[t want any more broken ankles..........

Had my first Fuji-fuelled prints delivered by DPD an hour ago. Look great and my worries about messing things up by ditching LR and switching to CO were unfounded. Ace.
:fuji:

Big (y) to Simlab as well. Uploaded eleven files at 1530 yesterday. The 16x12 prints were done within the hour and DPD were here at 0845 this morning.
