Then I would use a mono laser all in one subject to price. One advantage is occasional use so no ink drying out.Not for me, but thanks.
Very precise space requirements. Have you thought about separate scanner with wireless printer, which could be anywhere?Too big unfortunately - I need something with a max width and depth of 40 cms - should have mentioned this before - apologies. This will probably rule out laser printers.

I use a MG5750 which is serving me well it has a depth of 37 cm and a width of 45cm ..................
Too wide unfortunately but there must be a smaller Canon out there - I'll keep on searching.
I'm not clued up with wireless printing. I want to print from my pc which, as far as I'm aware(!) does not have wifi.
It doesn’t need Wi-Fi provided your router has it. Printer connects wirelessly to router and computer is on the same network. At least mine works that way (Brother laser) and I can print from phone/iPad wirelessly and computer wired.I'm not clued up with wireless printing. Yes, that’s what I suggested at #2 but it won‘T suit the OP.The document scanner app on my smartphone straightens and corrects documents amazingly well. I've often scanned documents when away from home too. These I print out on a small cheap Samsung laser printer. The cartridge has lasted since forever. The printer is connected to the home router. So I can print from any PC or directly from the phone. Good quality and easy to use.
Yes. But you were given no reason. It's possible that the OP assumes the mobile experience must be bad. So maybe if I share my experience, it might help clarify how good it can be.Yes, that’s what I suggested at #2 but it won‘T suit the OP.
Though of course it could be an iPad or, I assume an Android/etc tablet which could be a cheaper option. But it’s your choice, which is why I didn’t push itI don't have or want a smartphone at the moment
I'm going to try the Canon MX475 as suggested earlier. Should be adequate for the small amount of printing I do.
