Not sure I'd want "Crowdstrike" on my Mercedes after '55...

The Alphatauri livery looks like it will stand out on the TV coverage.

The other teams aren't happy about the FIA coverup of last seasons cheating by Ferrari.

https://www.renaultsport.com/renault-sport-racing-statement-14535.html

"We, the undersigned teams, were surprised and shocked by the FIA’s statement of Friday 28 February regarding the conclusion of its investigation into the Scuderia Ferrari Formula 1 Power Unit.

An international sporting regulator has the responsibility to act with the highest standards of governance, integrity and transparency.

After months of investigations that were undertaken by the FIA only following queries raised by other teams, we strongly object to the FIA reaching a confidential settlement agreement with Ferrari to conclude this matter.

Therefore, we hereby state publicly our shared commitment to pursue full and proper disclosure in this matter, to ensure that our sport treats all competitors fairly and equally. We do so on behalf of the fans, the participants and the stakeholders of Formula One.

In addition, we reserve our rights to seek legal redress, within the FIA’s due process and before the competent courts.

Hass and Alfa Romeo are missing from the list of complainers. Guess they are sticking with the company line. :p

Team Changes

Scuderia Toro Rosso renamed as Scuderia AlphaTauri. The team will use the constructor name "AlphaTauri". The name is derived from Red Bull's AlphaTauri fashion brand.

Driver Changes

IN
Esteban Ocon [Renault]
Nicholas Latifi [Williams]

OUT
Nico Hülkenberg [Renault]
Robert Kubica [Williams]

Technical Regulation Changes

- In order to reduce the risk of punctures, the last 50 mm (2.0 in) of the front wing can no longer contain any metal.
- Brake ducts can no longer be outsourced and must be made and designed by the team.
- The amount of fuel that can be outside of the fuel tank has been reduced from 2 litres (3.5 imp pt) to 250 millilitres (0.44 imp pt).
- The level of driver aids at the start will also be decreased.

Sporting Regulation Changes

- Teams will be allowed to use one more MGU-K compared to 2019 to compensate for the increased demands of contesting 22 races.

- Drivers who participate in free practice sessions will be eligible for additional FIA Super Licence points. Any driver who completes a minimum 100 km (62 mi) during a free practice session will receive an additional Super Licence point on the condition that they do not commit a driving infraction. Drivers may only accrue ten Super Licence points per year from free practice sessions.

- The rules surrounding jump starts and the weighbridge have been relaxed with the race stewards now being able to hand out less severe punishments for missing the weighbridge and jump starts. Jump starts will now receive a 5 or 10 second race time penalty instead of a drive through or 10 second stop-go.

- Waving of the chequered flag returns after being replaced with lights in 2019. This is due to a light glitch at the Japanese Grand Prix meaning the race incorrectly ended one lap early.

Mercedes will be beavering away making new brake ducts and scratching their heads over whether DAS will be legal
Whilst redbull might not beat them on the track they sure as hell are trying off it
It has been said Lewis has bought a rowing machine to get some practise in case DAS is used

He's got a bit longer to prepare (IF he needs it!) - the Australian GP has been postponed.

Not confirmed yet is it? Sky are saying it is going ahead, BBC reporters have been told it is off.

BBC is good enough for me.

From sky 3:19 pm
Here's the full report from Craig Slater to Sky Sports News with details on his sources. One team principal + sources at circuit confirmed to him that the GP will go ahead. Officials are confident they'd found all people who might have come into contact with the virus. #F1
From andrew benson
Two senior F1 sources tell BBC Sport the Australian Grand Prix has been called off. No official confirmation yet from F1 or the FIA

Autosport now reporting it as cancelled too. Not seen the story, just their headline. (Saving my free visits for more interesting stories later this month...)

Isn't it cancelled? because I'm sure I the Supreme Being Lewis telling us all it should not go ahead.

F1 esports on SkyF1. Some of the drivers racing apparently. Better than no live F1

That was a very entertaining race. Great fun to watch.
