Maybe. I guess in the coming weeks or months they may be able to be better and understanding treatment so that could change. Don’t think it’s that selfish, demand is low now so you could argue it’s trying to flatten the line?

Hmm not sure how many would agree with that argument, not many for sure. Will ask Boris and team:)

He's a Lurcher. He's an old dog. His name is Ben. He's over 14 and deaf.
He was a rescue dog, and he's been a great pet and a brilliant companion. He's accompanied me on many photography outings.
I fear he may not be with us too much longer.

One of ours was Ben too. Ben and Hamish. It's hard when they go.:(

Just watched a few videos of the police in India beating people who won’t quarantine with “lathis” a long stick a idea Left over from colonial days when we ruled India . Just wondered how long it will take to resurrect there use here .

Joking aside it’s quite horrific to see how other countries are treating this ,a social divide between the so called civilised world and the slum dog empire . And also makes me wonder how things will develop in the USA with all there guns ?

I saw that report too and thought it was appalling. One officer saw a man on the ground after he'd been hit by one of his colleague and decided to walk 10 metres to give him another whack. Pretty hefty sticks too.

Bit of a contrast:

Nice Police...:) Police hand-washing tutorial

And, sadly, we are still only about 2 weeks behind Italy, which had barely more deaths than we have now 16 days ago. Today they have over 9000.

According to corovanavirus.app Italy is showing "Days since start" [which means number of days since first report] as 40. Must have been a lot of infection going on before the alarm bells rang.
For what it is worth UK is now at 58 days since start.

Sainsbury’s : “If you live in England and you are over 70 years of age
You can get access to priority home delivery slots by calling us on 0800 953 4988”

It also took Italy about a week to go from the number of deaths we have now, to more than the number of deaths that China has now. Given what we now know about the spectrum of symptoms, from asymptomatic through a mild cold to flu-like and beyond, there must have been a great deal of undetected transmission everywhere.

And here's a timely publication saying just that:

Morrison’s at present have queueing system to go on the website, Just tried and got this:

“Number of users in queue ahead of you: 45201
You estimated wait time is: 27 minutes”

I think I‘ll pass on that ... :).

Here's what Chinese experts think we should be doing (and lots of testing, of course):

If you are over 70 years of age, or you are extremely vulnerable and live in Wales, Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can get access to priority home delivery slots by calling us at 0800 953 4988.
In England it seems that they are going to use Gov data on vulnerable people to allocate slots

So, not over 70's then?

Demand is low? Are you f*****g kidding me?
My hospital alone has 40 positive patients and 15 on ITU which is overflowing into HDU, theatres and soon Coronary Care.
With the way it's been changing locally this is going to rapidly ramp up to double this in a matter of days.
Knock on effects will be the fact that there may be people "stepping up" and retraining but the level of care will be shocking and likely to cause as many deaths as lives it saves. Nurses in their last 6 months are to be basically registered near straight away, drs in their last year of training similar, the number of consultants in all specialities being redeployed and a hell of a lot over 60 and / or with underlying health conditions or as we call it in healthcare, co-morbidities.
Demand is f*****g low???

You're not trying to get in the shortest queue at tescos

As much as I look forward to life returning to normality and people stop getting ill from this terrible virus, I look forward as much to the end of the self proclaimed virus experts out there on social media. FB actually gives me an ulcer atm

And If I see one more f'ing 'humorous' song about the virus or one more lame toilet paper meme I swear ...

Some smartarse will now post a bog roll meme I guess

I agree with you about the Facebook experts etc but I don't mind the songs and memes. It's a bit of respite from the seriousness of coronavirus.

I suspect all this is aging a lot of people one way or another.

In month 1 (global scale) this was really scaring me and things weren't working well. Now I eat far more supplements than I've ever had, 5G of VitC a day, eat more good food, perhaps too much so much so I need to seriously use up all the exercise options available to me. I guess I am not alone. Worrying about something you have no control of is only going to really hit your immune function, hit your sleep and everything else. Just don't. I have an emergency plan, that includes all the things that BBC tell you not to do, including using lemons and garlic in your cooking. Hell, I like them, they are good and I will eat them. If needed will use even colloidal silver as a last resort. Thanks for a list and reminder MSM!
Of course there are the societal issues and I truly hope things go back 100% to normal very soon. Not 80%, 90%, or 95% but 100%.

I just stick to family and friends and post irrelevant crap (y)

There are 100's to chose from, any preference?
:D

That's what I'm trying to do, it's all I use it for lately but when I click on my home feed ... eurgh, there's Karen and Susan with advice for the government and lecturing people on what they should and shouldn't be doing

Preference for loo roll? soft, cushioned, I'm a sensitive arse :p

I didn't mind so much in the beginning, but it's 2-3 new takes on old songs with lyrics changed to a virus theme now and it's irritating [to me at least]

Yeah there are a few of those about I just skip over delete or report as one of the many options, usually the rude one ..
Just for the hell of it. :D

I'd noticed :p

Sainsbury’s seem to be using two descriptions “extremely vulnerable” who can phone the 0800 number as “most vulnerable” who are are on the gov database* that they are going to access and then notify people. It is somewhat confusing :( . On the web site they then tell you to phone 0800 028 8327.
* and will have received the gov letter.

Snip

I was wondering if Liposomal Glutathione would be worth taking? I've only done a few minutes of reading about it but it seems to be fairly well regarded.
