Trying some experimental processing methods on pictures that evoked memories of childhood for me - not that I ever had a holiday in WSM, but we go to Hastings a lot.
The essence of these is that *because* they're meant to evoke memories and dreams I didn't want the images to look real. They should be like the dreams we have, where everything isn't quite sharp and reality is a flexible thing that's a bit out of control. (perhaps I could get a job writing arty b*****ks? )

I KNOW that I did this as a kid - just wish I could do it still!

Instead of the ruined pier to Birnbeck Island, I had Hastings castle, however Birnbeck *looks* a lot like the kinds of places I played in South Norwood in the late 60s and early 70s.

And finally, the pier, seeming to almost float in the air, a little piece of heaven to a child given an unlimited supply of pennys and a penny falls machine.

C&C welcome.
