Some from local Dartmoor wanders...

Wot 'e said. :)

I really like the atmosphere of Beech Sapling, but find the leaves a bit too much to fit with the rest of the atmosphere in the image.

That beech sapling one I really like, nice shot

Just where abouts were the shots taken, especially the woodland ones, please ?

It's actually a secret location.... hehe, only joking, it's Ausewell Woods just outside Ashburton. There's a layby at SX737721. There's lovely old bouldery birch wood at the top but I've never been able to get any decent compositions from there. The moorland is Rippon Tor.

fantastic series, esp. the second of the tree. the bright orangey yellow really pops out against the blue.

Beech Sapling is a great shot.

I do think it could be elevated to a truly spectacular one if you could (somehow) perhaps by using perspective or a slightly different composition have the sapling symmetrical between two trees and a lovely drop of light/mist on it.

Great set of photos. For me there is slightly too much contrast in the beech slapping photo but I do really like it nevertheless!

I wanted to make it stand out (‘pop’ as some people annoyingly say) so there was some
Increase in brightness and saturation in post. Also brought some blue into the shadows to accentuate the orange. I might re-edit to make it more natural.

Changing position might have been possibly - but I was in a bit of a rush as I’d been out for a while and my partner was alone with our 2 year old so I was starting to feel guilty!

I, myself, like the somewhat asymetry, but perhaps clone out the leaves on the right that seem to be touching the tree ??
Again, great shots !!!
