Malvern Hills sunset

We went for an evening traverse of the Malvern hills a few days ago, which meant I got another chance to do some sunset photography. As we had to get to the end we couldn’t wait for sunset where I wanted to, but it did mean we got away from the crowds near Worcestershire Beacon, where there was no social distancing occurring, and even a group sharing 2 shisha pipes.

I had bracketed my exposures, but forgot about the impact of the wind so only my -2stops exposure images were usable as the gorse was blurry in 0 and +2 stops. They seemed to push OKish, but I am sure would have been better if I was able to blend the exposures. I also don’t like the proximity of the top of the gorse bush to the horizon, I did correct this but didn’t end up with a usable photo having changed the composition.

Really happy for any c&c, trying to improve both composition and editing.

1. Could do with a slightly tighter more central crop for me (probably just past that T shaped thing on the ground), the sky goes towards being blown out on the left so I'd crop that off personally. If you don't want to crop it, I'd use the radial filter to try and create a sun like glow from that side of the image. Otherwise it's a very nice shot.

2. Seems to have a bit of an odd hue/colour. More should be made of the sky IMO, crop is too tight. Foreground interest isn't doing much for me.

3. Similar to 2.
