During a visit to my homeland in March, pre lockdown, I paid a visit to Glasgow Transport Museum. I enjoyed the exhibits but much preferred the roof of the building haha.
I have made a panel of the abstract images and post it below along with a few of the individual images. Comments and critique welcome as always.

Really nice series of abstracts Iain. Nice to see some photography from you again.

In terms of the arrangement (for what it's worth) my eye keep getting drawn to frames 3 & 4 and I kinda wanted to see them separated like you did with 6 & 10. Putting them in 1 & 5 though would spoil the corner arrangement you've got going on. It's a bit like those slide puzzles of the 70s.

Single images are very nice, but I prefer the collection.

Thanks Ian, I appreciate your feedback and agree. Looking at it again, I will change it around. No excuses, it's a job in progress. I have the intention of going for an RPS distinction with this panel at some point. Not what I had in mind when I took the shots but know I want to revisit the museum with the specific purpose of creating more images. Thanks again.

I thought I would resurrect this thread by way of an update.
Just last weekend I was successful in gaining an Associateship of the Welsh Photographic Federation (AWPF) with the panel below.
I submitted prints for assessment which was judged by 5 assessors. Happy to say it was a unanimous decision, with some very kind comments/observations about my panel.

Totally well deserved Iain. Congratulations.

Thanks Ian, the photography group I am a member of had an online advisory day with someone who is not a judge of this distinction but closely involved with the Welsh federation. They didnt instil a lot of confidence in me that the panel would pass because and I quote "the judges might not get it, can you put in an image of the overall scene to explain it?"

I clearly didn't, so it was with a certain amount of nerves that I watched the judging session live on Zoom last week. I was up first. Happily it went well.

In my mind and I think in yours too, putting in an explanatory image would have been a terrible idea. I don't want or need it explained, it stands very, very firmly on its own IMHO.

Beautiful piece of work and congratulations.

Great name by the way, same one we gave our son. He does get annoyed at us for the extra 'i' which people often leave out on forms and stuff :) He just started his first job and couldn't log in to do some online courses because they missed the 'i' off his login name.
