It seemed interesting to do something with the landscape around this lunchtime that was slightly different, so here's a central subject without especially strong lead lines, but surrounded but definite shadows and shapes. Lighting was flat, with a heavy overcast sky, although that helped intensify the colours of her fleece jacket. She was also wearing blue nitrile gloves, which was a little odd in the context and therefore suited the intention. The pigeon also seemed to be taking an interest in the proceedings.

C&C welcome.

I like this Toni it’s very quirky, almost a natural selective colour, framed very well by the shadows.

I love the juxtaposition in this. It’s all wrong fishing wise - the gloves the pole (which is interesting in itself) the bright clothes and the backpack etc. Very interesting shot

Maybe she does not like handling fish, hence the gloves. :)

Thanks Steve - she was a brilliant blob on the landscape, and too interesting not to grab.

Thanks Chris - weird innit? There was a BF/husband further upstream where the reddish patch & reflection is,. and he was brightly dressed too. There's probably enough traffic on the towpath that bright colours aren't so significant as they would be at a quiet water.

Thanks James - I'd wondered if the gloves were anti-covid, but I reckon you're right.
