Talk Photography Fantasy Football League(s) for 2019/20 :-)

Not long to go now till the end of the season, they'll probably open up next seasons fantasy league straight away!
 
Klopp Klopp Boom (46) unsurprisingly stay at the top, Banished to Riyadh (47) get a point closer though. With a 91 :oops: :$ point difference it will almost definitely be too late with two games to go. ;)

horspath hounds (56) remain in 3rd place. The next three places are covered by 8 points, and because Penfold's Dangermice (59) had a marginally better week in comparison to the others, they have jumped from 6th > 4th ahead of Steve's strollers (46) stay in 5th, and DoublePogba&Koke (42) drop from 4th > 6th. Still all close together, and as I said, covered by 8 points atm. Places 7 > 10 remain the same.

I matched the points of the leader for the second week with 46 points, :) but obviously not denting their lead as I stay in 9th. :rolleyes: :LOL:

The average points for the week was 40. The highest scorers of the week were dods dufffers and Pink Chicken AFC with 60 points. :clap:

The deadline for changes this week is today, Sat 18th Jul @16:30.

I'm just watching the Bournemouth v Southampton game (as Bournemouth equalise in the 95th minute, and then get the goal taken away by VAR :oops: :$) and had Ings as my Captain in the game. He had 10 points after scoring, but the missed a penalty, and now has 8! I didn't realise you lose points for missing a penalty! How does that make sense in any way! :thinking: May as well take points off for any shot that is saved. :rolleyes:
 
Klopp Klopp Boom (69) extend their league at the top again to 112 ahead of Banished to Riyadh (48). Steve's strollers (71) had a very good week and jumped from 5th > 3rd. horspath hounds (51) and Penfold's Dangermice (55) both drop a place to 4th and 5th. Positions 2-5 are covered by 19 points, so those positions are subject to change. ;)

DoublePogba&Koke stay in 6th, and Woodys wonders stay in 7th. I did slightly better than Mrs Smith's Boys (69) with 71 points, though three points behind turned into three points ahead, thanks to Mrs Smith's Boys losing four points for two transfers. Mrs Smith's Boys used their Bench Boost too. ;) Thankfully I had probably the first good week after the restart. Still all close though. :)

The average for the week was 53 points. The highest scorer for the week 8% Wine with 81 points. :clap: Which was also good for moving two places to 12th, though equal on points with Kante fit my Willian. :)

Sunday is the final game of the season, with all teams playing at the same time. The deadline for changes this week is today, Sun 26th Jul @15:00.

And so just like the Premier League, the winners of the Talk Photography Fantasy Football League may have virtually been known for many weeks, ;) but now that it is all over, Klopp Klopp Boom (69) are officially the winners. Congratulations! :clap::clap::clap::clap::clap: Leading from gameweek 19, and with a final winning margin of 142 points emphasizes the dominance of Klopp Klopp Boom from midway through the season and finishing with 2236. :oops: :$ Just like the real thing. :LOL:

Banished to Riyadh (51) finish 2nd, but only by three points from Steve's strollers (56). So that is our top 3. :clap:

Penfold's Dangermice (54) make a late move into 4th place. And Woodys wonders (82) had a great week and moved from 7th > 5th. DoublePogba&Koke (74) also had a good week but stay in 6th, but Penfold's Dangermice, Woodys wonders and DoublePogba&Koke all finish on the same 2078 points. :oops: :$ I don't know how the final positions were determined :thinking: but well done all for essentially finishing joint 4th in spirit. :clap:

If teams are rising, teams must also be falling, and horspath hounds (39) fall from 4th > 7th. They at least have the consolation of winning the Head 2 Head League this season. :clap:

Mrs Smith's Boys (61) had a way better week than me (33), and so moves from three points behind me last week in 9th to finish in 8th place twenty nine points ahead. :( :LOL: I moved down to 9th. CrouchPotato (72) had a good week and maintains 10th place but only by give points from the weeks highest scorers, Kante fit my Willian who got 102 points. :clap:

The average for the week was quite high at 60. Well done those who got above that. :clap:


Thanks to everyone who joined the league this season. I have really enjoyed it and I hope you all have too. I don't know how many were still actively playing, or watching this thread, because few people posted, but thanks to those that did. I tried to make the write ups entertaining, but I enjoyed doing it all anyway, as it kept the game more interesting for me.

There may be a new game starting soon, as the new season is only 6 weeks away. (I think) I will be starting another league for next season, and will start a new thread the for the new season to inform and encourage people to sign up and be involved. Hopefully those that have participated in this season will join again. But of course anyone will be able to sign up, the more the merrier. :)

It automatically rejoins classic leagues but not H2H.

Anyway, I've entered yet again for mid table obscurity. Was a bit lazy and used auto complete to create my team so just have to remember to change it before Sept 12th. Mind you, it all seems that random that i might not bother. :D
 
I'm in. At first look the player prices are very restrictive this year! I can't afford half of who I would like.

With regards to the price of the players, those that had good seasons will have had their prices rise, but hopefully bargains will appear. If you find it difficult to get a team Chris, it may give the rest of us the chance to get closer to you this season. ;) :LOL:

I should have added, for anyone who does join, please pop a message in here, and tell everyone the name of your team.

Because I use the same username there, as here, it may have been easy to work out my team name, but my team are called "The Chosen Ones". :)


Btw, it looks like they have moved John Lundstram into midfield, I'm sure he was down as a defender last season. :thinking:
 
Yes and it makes Lundstram a pointless buy now IMO, only getting 1 point instead of 4 for a clean sheet, and his minutes fluctuate too much.
Same for the midfielders that have moved to strikers, one less point per goal and no clean sheet point.

However, strikers that have moved to midfield (Auba etc) can be a great pick as they get the extra goal point and the clean sheet point that they didn't last year.
Always look for players that play more advanced than their FF position.

At my second attempt I have a better looking line up (poor bench though) but nothing is nailed on for me (apart from my LFC players) until the fixtures are announced. I'll be looking for teams with a kind starting run of games.

As usual I will look to jump on early price rises and ride them for a while before selling at a profit, to bump up the funds for later in the season.

Some dodgy changes of position of players there. I hadn't seen the Aubameyang change to midfield. :oops: :$:thinking: No way is he a midfielder, and costing more than the best midfielder in De Bruyne! :oops: :$ Rashford now a midfielder too.

And speaking of De Bruyne, how does he not cost the same as Mane or Salah, when he got a lot more points last year than both of them, and 'midfielder' Aubameyang. o_O:thinking:

But if you think about what Aubamayang's score would have been last year if he'd been classed as a midfielder. Give him an extra point for every goal he scored and a point everytime they kept a clean sheet and suddenly he's the highest point scorer in the game. A goal scoring midfielder is easily better than a striker who scores a similar amount of goals.

But if he were truly a midfielder, and playing in midfield, he may not have scored as many goals. So Lacazette and Nketiah are Arsenals only forwards! :oops: :$Making the decision for them to move Aubameyang into midfield even weirder. I'd stick Lacazette in midfield before Aubameyang, but neither are midfielders.

And nothing explains why De Bruyne is not costing the most for a midfielder.

Oh I agree, he's not a out and out midfielder, and won't play as one. That's the point of my earlier comment about players who play more advanced than their stated FF position. They are a great route to extra points!


I aslo agree that KDB should be the same price as Salah. Although I'm always reluctant with City players due to Pep's odd selections! The exception to that has always been Aguero for me, but I'm not sure about him this season either.

Nothing wrong with being keen. ;) I wish a few more here were 'a bit' keen. :LOL: Invite yer man to join us if he wants to join another league, and of course go up against you. ;) :LOL: Though you may already be doing that in another league.
