weekly Phil S 52 in 2020. Complete!

Great image Phil. The light and shadow makes a stunning image.

Lovely shot for graceful, super image :)

Graceful - a really nice image. I love the way the plant/flowers pop on the dark background, and the lighting is really well executed. Plus, it's really nice for the theme.
Lovely composition, and great colours Phil
Phil that is nicely done, it works very well with the dark background.
Beautiful shot.
Graceful - Cracking image great lighting it really stands out form the background.
That's terrific Phil. Lovely lighting and composition. One of my favourite plants.
WOW!!! That is a stunningly beautiful image Phil, totally nailed it imo great colours and lighting in bang on.

That's an absolutely great shot for graceful - beautifully composed and lit.
I can only agree with all the above, nice image.
Lovely shot for graceful, super image :)

Thanks for all the kind comments.

Graceful - I really like that Phil, simple but effective, it really pops from the black background (y)
Static - Ah, I thought you were intimating static electricity, both work for the theme.

Really like the graceful one, the lighting is spot on.

I do like a good telegraph pole and like the inclusion of the cows it makes a nice scene.

Hi Phil

Graceful, great image, love the colours against the backgound.

Static, good angle, getting the sky in against the pole. I thought you where going for Static Electricity for a moment, as you can sometimes feel it under the wires ( more so when it's 440,000 Volts.

Pete

Static, works on two levels Phil, great idea.

Nice photo, you chose a good angle for the shot and your right they are not moving.

It's definitely static and the pole stands out well against the blue sky.

Nice play on words with the static - and a nicely taken photo.
A variety of statics. Good one.
Bang on theme... nicely captured.
Graceful is simply beautiful. Static good take on the theme.

Thanks for all the comments.

3 very nice pictures, I do prefer the first one, another shot that is easy to look at. I like the horizontal hedges and there are some nice colours too.

Out of the 3, I'd pick the first one.
There are some interesting features in that landscape.

The first one also but maybe crop the line of hedgerow at the top

All3 are very nice but I think you've chosen the pick of them. the portrait orientation works very well to draw the viewer up the image. great colours etc too, nicely done.

A lovely set Phil and the first one is a favourite with me. I like the line of the path and the walkers on it.

#3 for me with the repeating sheds - but 3 nice shots. I had to google Swaledale, and had guessed that it was the Lakes. Looks like a nice area to have a walk around!

Nice trio Phil, #3 for me Lots of green with a touch of blue and irregular buildings.

Great shots Phil. Swaledale is my favourite of all the dales for this reason.

#1 for me too. Can't exactly put my finger on why. Maybe as it's missing the hedge at the bottom?

Yes one of the nicest Yorkshire dales and some good walks - the shot is from the Pennine Way which was part of a 10 mile circuit up the dale from Gunnerside.

What a lovely spot. Spot on for the theme. No. 1 just edges it for me, but they're all great.

Nice set of pattern shots. I can't pick a winner here as each has its own merits.

Thanks for the great comments folks.

Was your juxtaposition the size difference of the 2 characters or those boots outside Jimmy Choos?
A good bit of street life well captured.
Take your pick! For me it was the size and age difference and the contrast with the suave look of the guy in the advert where all could be urban heroes.....

This is probably my favourite photo of my comment catch up. I do love a bit of human interest in the shots and this really makes me chuckle, the old chap is certainly enjoying himself. Not sure on the fake blue beard though ;)

Nicely done Phil and yes I agree there is at least a couple of juxtapositions in there.
