Show us yer film shots then!

Not sure about this one, my colour-blindness means I now doubt everything I shoot in colour so this might well be a mess.
Same kit as above. Arley Hall in Cheshire.

The colours look pretty much ok Andy but there is a rather serious magenta leak ( light entry/ dev error??) bottom RH corner

Hmmm, edited as I have realise that attaching images directly here seems to soften them somewhat. Is that as it usually is?

Looks OK to my colourblind eyes :) I spoend a lot of time checking colour balance with my other half as every now and then I get it very very wrong!

So back in February I picked up a Nikon FE from ebay with a plan to shot B&W film along side my digital camera as I was getting into Landscape photography. After discovering it was faulty, having it repaired by aperture in London, having it sit on a shelf through lock down, I finally finished the film I loaded back in February when it came back from repair!

The above is my favourite of the bunch, and when it is cooler i'll break out the enlarger and try to print this!

Yes, the backend is brutal with compression here. Best to host externally and then hotlink.

Two phone snaps (scanner won't do anything larger than 8x10), 11x11" on 12x16" Ilford MGRC V Satin. Both are split contrast prints, shot on a Rollei MX-EVS, Tri-X, developed in Diafine. I find that split contrast works really well with Diafine dev'd Tri-X, especially with the low contrast Tessar found in the Rollei.

Thanks. Might have to start using Flickr again :(

Those are two lovely prints, BTW, particularly the second IMO.

Let's try this then, hosting from somewhere else and I don't THINK I have shared these before on here. Some Cinestill 800 pushed a couple of stops in development. First time I have used this stock in 35mm and at night and pushed!

And yes, I took the Leica and no, I didn't get robbed or worry about it at any time. :p

The fuzzy area at the top of this frame is likely a reflection (it was shot through glass). Or a ghost.

Whatever, I like the slight "Borley Rectory" feel it gives the photo. :)

Canon Sure Shot Supreme
Agfa APX 100
Ilfotec DD-X 1+4 10.5mins @ 20°

That's really nice. I can never 'see' photos like this, but you've absolutely nailed it imho.

@Sectionate, @FruitFlakes, @Kevin Allan, @gazmorton2000,

Apologies for the blanket reply, but I really like all of these images you that you've posted. I particularly like the first waterfall, the first of the two prints, the first sea stack and (you guessed it!) the first street scene. Really good work.

Thanks, you’re actually the first to prefer the first print!

I like the first and final of these Gareth. The Cinestil 'glow' works really well on the profusion of streetlights and neon.

How did you find shooting street shots over there? It seems that people in south-east asia are far more tolerant of strangers making their photographs than they are here in the UK. There's a YouTube channel I follow that has a lot of videos featuring street candids and I'm always amazed at how easily he makes the pictures and how little the people seem to be bothered by it.

Thank you. :)

On the whole it was fun and as you say, much easier than I have ever found it over here, although the streets are MUCH busier over there than anywhere I have bene in the U.K. so perhaps it's just accepted more? I dunno the reasons. There were a few opportunities where people took offence and I have a few shots of people waving me away, covering their faces or one guy who really objected to me photographing his sleeping friend for some reason. Managed to get a photo before he intervened but it's on a Polaroid. :D

Really nice again. Have you applied any post processing (I'm presuming you have due to the square crops and toning on skme images)? They look great though. My sort of stuff.

I've run a film through both cameras now, basically to check they functioned okay with no light leaks. Harrisons sent the film to Peak Images for development and they have sent a low quality scan through to me on "wetransfer". Quite a few bits of dust kicking about, but that's to be expected. Loaded into LR and one or two things changed. It's difficult to judge how good the negs are when you finish up with a 1MB image. Looking at them on a 23 inch screen is not the best thing to do. I need to find a "theme" for the next film. You probably live not that far from where I am and recognise some of the places.
