The Fabulous Fuji X owners thread

some people made offers had a refund because of 'smoke' but were happy to offer less later.

It's good to get a bargain but taking advantage is just wrong.

It turned into a s*** show with people just taking the p***. If I've upset anyone, tough!
Ah OK thats a bit off, should of maybe discused via PM a small discount refund rather than outright refund.

The whole thread has gone very weird, got the feeling that it wouldn't have progressed with a clearer head.
Needs deleting/cleaning and starting again, better off all round. I don't think even Dave knows where the hell he is with it all to be fair.

Whole thread should be stopped right now, got well out of order.
People paying for things and being asked for more, others making crazy lowball offers.
Hot weather and alcohol, bad combination.

On the flip side people made offers and paid based on certain information, the information changed and you offered refunds. Not sure why you are having a pop at people. Not exactly going to warm potential buyers to dealing with you.

Because all my Fuji stuff has been great ask Rick or the bloke I have blocked, and what the hell has it to do with you, so trot on on block me

Dave,

Chill out, come back tomorrow after you've slept on it. I know exactly how you feel, I'd be bloody angry too.
This is why I've gone to shifting stuff at wex, it's not worth the hassle of having a heart attack from high blood pressure.

Get your trade in prices.

For the same reason that you have spat your dummy out in numerous posts in this thread today, Last time i checked this is a forum where people can express an opinion. You have just liked my first post, ignored my second one acknowledging that you may have some cause for complaint and then told me to mind my own business. I was considering buying an item but your manner has put me off doing so.

Best self advice Dave, come back fresh and I'm sure you can all sort it out. WOuldn't like to see you fall out with people over gear, you're a decent sod, we all have bad days. I'm on quite a few block lists I imagine as I've had my wars here, but we move onwards and upwards.

No issues here @Fuji Dave - my trusty V is all I need so I no longer have GAS - in fact I recommended MBP as the easiest/fairest place to sell your kit. The classifieds on here and fleabay are rife with quibblers, chancers and p1ss takers wanting something for nothing.

Hope you get it all sorted tomorrow with a clear head and that you get a fairer amount for whatever kit you buy next (y)

You peoples need to stop bragging about the V :crying:. I wouldnt agree with the assessment about MBP currently and theyve had a lot of heat lately.

No bragging - just very pleased with it

I’ve not had an issue with them- used them a couple of times admittedly not for a while though

Not had a chance to venture out with the camera for a couple of days as still busy working from home and wanted to snap something other than the cat - somewhat limited to pictures of the other halfs plants in the garden unfortunately. These are SOOC JPGs.....

Lovely shots, and with the beautiful sleek X100V too.

I took this shot whilst down at my local harbour the other night shooting the glorious sunset.

Now this image is subjective and I reckon will split opinion, certainly as it eeks more into artistic license than true scene capturing.

The reason for the above comment is because at the time i took the shot I didn't have an ND filter to hand so couldn't lengthen the exposure to smooth out the waves.
As such I thought I would try in post to see how close I could get to the effect. Initially I tried a gaussian blur and a motion blur on their own but these were to silky and harsh.

I then tried a surface blur followed by a very mild motion blur which in my mind yielded a better result. This is in no way a replacement to correct use of an ND filter (hence why i mention it as more artistic license) but I think the result is quite pleasing.

Feel free to come in and rip it to shreds though, I am all for healthy and constructive debating.

Thanks for looking!

Great capture. Post edit works well

"This Snap Managed To Make EXPLORE":):)

Just a simple Fujigraph taken at Whitstable Harbour Kent UK of some fishing boat Rope. I've deliberately gone for a semi graphic higher contrast gritty look to this snap to emphasise the texture.

X-H1, 18-55mm Lens, 1/800th @ F5.6, ISO-200, Handheld.

Very nice shot George, I bet the harbour has changed since we lived in Whitstable.

Thank you kindly Dave, I sure do appreciate your reply.

“I don’t know much about the history of the harbour but I absolutely “LOVE” the place in general. I bought one of the cottages opposite “The Old Neptune” (the pub on the beach) last year purely to use for vacations etc and I also rent one of the retail huts situated around the harbour to display & sell some of my photography prints. I can only be there myself occasionally so more often than not a buddy of mine who lives in Whitstable is there who also sells some of his own photography work rent free”

We lived just down a bit from The Old Neptune, lived in Island Wall and the horror actor Peter Cushing was our neighbour back in the early 1970s.

When we lived in Whitstable I use to go to Whitstable boys school, and loved walking home it`s a totally beautiful place to live imo.

Whatever happened to the viltrox / Tokina 56?

Nothing about it on their web site or the rumour sites, think it was pulled back to have the mount changed - there was issues with the 23 I bleieve on Xpro bodies, they have redesigned the mount for those too. Shouldn't matter if yours is the new or old one as with the T3 they're fine just xpro3 I think

Saw that, yeah, should be fine, looking forward to trying it. Strange there's no info on 56, last I heard was Tokina took over and were going to sell the same lenses for much more.

Not sure if the plan was for them to take it over or just run similar lenses under their own brand - seen it mentioned someplace or other that Tokina and Viltrox don't actually work together, rather they both use the same manufacturer [optics] and rebadge. Bit like in the old days with Vivitar/Kirin/Tokina et al, they all had very similar lenses under their own brand
