The Fabulous Fuji X owners thread

Avengers! Assemble! I need help :) I've lost the plug bit that goes on the end of the X-T4 charger. Not the box but the UK plug that goes into the actual socket. How I've lost it is beyond me. Does anyone have a spare by chance, can point me to the right part to order a replacement or can check theirs to see if there is a name, serial number or some sort of identifying code on it so that I can look for one online. I've found similar like the 'Mean Well' brand ones but they aren't the same I believe as it looks a different fitment. I've tweeted Fujifilm direct but not expecting a reply from them. Any help appreciated as I've just got the double charger and didn't realise that I needed the X-T4 charger to use it.....

I trod on mine. Emailed Fuji asking if I could buy one. They sent one FOC

you can buy a usbc uk 3 pin plug or use a usbc to usba adapter and pop it into an iphone plug etc., or your computer/laptop. If you really need the gen fuji then contacting them is your best bet or somewhere like wex.

or buy the fuji charger and ignore the plug thing.

I've bought the double charger already but I believe you need to use the wall plug for it to charge as fast as it should which is why I'm on the hunt.

That's awesome! I hope they do the same. Thanks.

Fungi by Philip Higgins, on Flickr
You nailed it with this one (y)

I was in Hanchurch today, almost went to Cannock but was worried it would be too busy. What time did you go and was it packed Phil.
I'm thinking of going to Brocton side when the leaves are more coloured.

hi David well when i went with my mate to shoot this Fungi it was torrential downpour of rain we both got drenched :(
But only seen two other people there but it could well of been due to the weather.
Saying that i have been up twice last month and only seen a handful of people and that was Brocton end of Chase.
Its well worth a explore this fungi was inside a fallen tree so take a torch and look in every nook and cranny.
I would never of looked into this particular place if I'm honest but Andy spotted it the day before on a walk.

Great, I may pop down in the next few days. Probably early to avoid the bikes and dogs, may catch the deer too.

I was after fungi today, specifically fly agaric. Found one all smashed up but there were loads of earthballs.

Has anybody used the 2x TC in combo with the 50-140?

As someone who occassionally wants something longer than 140mm, I'm really trying to establish if I'm going to still yearn for a 100-400 or whether the 2x might be enough.

I don't have the 2x (I do have the 1.4) but from what I have read it performs better on the 50-140 than it does on the 100-400. I use the 1.4 and am more than happy with it (but then I also have the 100-400). Don't forget your f2.8 becomes f5.6 with the 2X.

Just a simple Fujigraph taken at Faversham Kent UK of the Bow of an old Barge that is now used for living in.
I've deliberately gone for a slightly higher contrast gritty look for this snap to emphasise the rust & decay etc.

X-H1, 23mm F1.4 Lens, 1/400th @ F5.6, ISO-200, Handheld.

Both lenses, both teleconverters.

2x suits the 50-140mm perfectly and retains its IQ throughout the focal range. The 100-400mm is best suited to the 1.4x but on its own it is a sublime lens.

Both teleconverters are on the Refurb site at £279 each.

Hi, yes use this quite a bit for the same reason you mention. I've come to the conclusion that the infrequent times I need to go long the combo suits me just fine. Not sure if you can rent a 2xTC for short period and see for yourself?

Get the 100-400 it's fantastic

I had grand ideas for a cloud inversion this weekend, but the forecast ruled that out. I still went out this morning and took all the kit as I wasn't sure if I'd get a sunrise, or end up on the moor chasing the red deer rut. As it happpens thick fog ruled out both options so I headed to the woods instead....

All with the X-H1 and 18-55mm

Misty Trees

Cracking tree and great conditions. Nice one.

Love this. The warm foreground against the cold background mountain is mint. Cracking pic.

I‘m wanting to get back to Snowdonia but I have to drive through lockdown areas (Llangollen) to get there. I think I’m allowed to drive through but I guess I’ll wait a while. The mountains will still be there when all this is over. Miss the place though.
