So Mamiya 645 body (as I still have a lens) OR Mamiya 6 Folder to give me 645 and 6x6? Go!
Well hope so as I can remember when you bought all that Olympus gear, gave it up and went back to digi Anyway enjoy your itch and can always say "been there done it".
I have to say the last response I expected was one going back in my life about 8 years...
645. 16 shots per roll, portability & speed.
Mamiya 6 is for the hipsters who can't afford a 7.
I think about our relative inability to roam the country at leisure, the rises in film prices and question whether I've done the right thing or not.

Because it will fit in your pocket and give just as good results as both the above.... plus its British man, support your local camera company, sadly not possible in this case
Well film prices are a PITA but you might have noticed that many of us filmies use our film cameras sparingly (for me will not take a shot unless it's worth it), but some like Nige\fishyfish seems to use his cameras like a digi and takes plenty of shots and is a prolific poster.
I had a Mamiya 645j with a waist level viewfinder and I found doing portrait orientation nearly impossible without a normal eye level viewfinder. I do like square photos anyway but if only because landscape and portrait doesn’t exist with 6x6 it makes using the camera way easier, for me anyway
Oh I love waist level view finders, my main camera at the moment is a TLR. But when not using square format I do a lot of portrait orientation and it was a nightmare. I tried an RB67 for the rotating back but it was too bulky for me.Oh I adore WLF-ery, not least for the mental exercise of "up? Down? Left? Right?" 6x6 is a new world to me really so that's another bit of work for the brain.....
The viewfinder of my Voigtlander Perkeo is tiny in comparison to the flip-up albada finder of my Ensign 16/20, and the results from that Ross Xpres lensed 16/20 are pretty damned sharp too, providing I shoot at 1/300 sec to avoid camera shake (but others may be OK at slower speeds). The downside to the 16/20 is that you can't see through the lens to focus, which you can with the Mamiya 645, TLRs, etc; so it's a measure with a rangefinder or a zone focus job. Having said that, the Ensign is considerably cheaper and folds up to fit in a coat or jacket pocket. So, as with any camera, there's pros and cons to consider when deciding which one will suit you best. For which purpose I'm having a dalliance with a Voigtlander Perkeo in 6x6.
I really like 6x6
you never know! Though I think my last name is Welsh or Cornish...maybe French in spiritFrench blood in your veins??
The french love (or at least hey loved!) 6x6, more so than any other format

Fair point, well made. I refuse to engage in developing at home having hobbies enough so I do have the privilege of supporting the local film developer shop: that ensures that I'm not running around the local National Trust snapping and replacing film as I go.
Unlike me, I’m sure Qthat I was zapped down from the moon with Mr BeanBreton and Cornish are pretty much the same language and Welsh is from the same group so you could be from either side of the channels (Bristol or English )
