Photoshop 2021 "Novelties"

I did the updates today but aside from opening them up to check they're working haven't done anything with them.

Need to get out and take some pictures this weekend :)

I did notice that PS didn't open any quicker than the previous version - I'm glad I have a fast PC :woot:

Hi Steve- plenty of tutorials on YouTube, makes Photoshop behave like it should, mine is very fast after a few alterations in " Preferences" I almost cancelled my PS subscription - not now as I altered a few bits

Hi Les,

Thanks for the link - I will take a look later :)

I was planning to ditch LR and PS in March when my current contract runs out but I got a Black Friday deal on Amazon so it'll be in use for a while yet.) I still like On1 Raw though :)

At one time all the tutorials used to be for Photoshop, but with its popularity, Affinity is rapidly catching up.

Where do you get your tutorials for Affinity, and do they have a comprehensive tutorial from beginners to advanced, the sort of thing you get for PS from somewhere like Phlearn.

Affinity has a lot of video tutorials here:
Quick start and keyboard shortcut guides here:
And a workbook you can buy:

Do a "Affinity" search on YouTube and you'll find dozens of both official tutorials and independent contributions.

I did do the 14 day free trial on On1 - but decided Photoshop suits me better Steve, having used it for years its a very familiar editing suite :)

Do you mean Affinty? - On1 (which I also use) has layers, but has fewer tools than Affinity. It's a good raw developer though.
I guess it all depends what you are used to.
I could never get on with Photoshop but for some reason I can manage Affinity better.
If you are familiar with PS I guess there needs to be some "unlearning" if you want to switch to something else.
Photoshop has MUCH more than I need.

The colourising black and white can work remarkably well with some photos, it seems to help if it detects a face almost like calibrating the scene.
