The Fabulous Fuji X owners thread

“New” camera arrived today. Popped over to the park with the other half so we could both have a play.. I actually quite like the 18-55. So I think I’ll just sell the XT-30 with its lens.

Annnnyway, out of interest, do you guys use the built in filters? Which is your favourite? I’m a velvia fan [emoji85]

My once pristine white dog came for an explore too:

The cutest little shrooms I’ve ever seen... (this one does have a few quick edits.. I liked the greens in it)

early Christmas for someone:p

I use most of the film sims and like using the recipes from Fuji weekly etc.. capture one and Lightroom let you shoot raw and play with the sims after so it’s easy to choose then.

classic chrome and acros are my most used for JPEG’s. Never used sepia, velvia has been okay for some autumn shots but on others they’ve been too saturated. It’s all part of the fun playing around with film sims.

So last night one of our clients sent us a takeaway roast dinner as a thank you. I took a few photos. I took them in velvia and it’s the first time that I really found it a little too in my face.

Is there some difference in colour recognition between XT3 and xt30?

Also, file transfer on the phone app is working like a dream on the XT3.

Very happy [emoji5]

Never noticed any difference in the way the cameras process the JPEG’s, there’s lots of settings and external variables that will affect the look and colours. Then again the cameras I use for JPEG’s have different sensors which must make a difference, F & V. I use raw on the other cameras so process in Lr or c1.

Agreed never noticed a difference between bodies (and I've had a lot of them!!) - Film Sims can be very sensitive depending on the object being viewed though especially if you customise the settings in camera, what works when you are facing one direction may not work if you turn around!

Like that Paul. Struck me it would be even more enigmatic with no lemon halves or tea bag...just the clean lines of the cup, and the contrast between the handle and the one lemon slice. But bet you did that anyway and preferred this!

Thanks, matey :)
I kinda gave it a try, and as its not my usual think wasn't too sure. But saying that, standing on a chair, holding the camera in one hand, and reflector in the other got a bit flappy lol ;)

Simply fabulous Chris, thanks!

Haven't had lots of free time to get used to it properly as I work a lot of 12hr nightshifts (yuk), I've a few weeks off over Crimbo period etc...

Just a simple candid street style Fujigraph taken at London UK of the hands of a guy texting.
I'm also working on a personal project called Faceless and this will be one of the shots included.

George.

Fantastic detail.

As an aside why is it always a personal project and not just a project photographers work on?

Well as of today I am now the owner of a Fuji X100F.
Got a deal on Facebook market place for a black/silver model with only 1700 on the clock.
Prestine condition with two batteries, lens hood, 32gb extreme pro memory card and a brown fuji leather case for £560 all in.

It looks a cracking little camera!

Well this popped up as my most viewed on Flickr for some reason ?

6am is progress (he is 6 now), got quite used to seeing 4 and 5am for a few years!

This might be a strange request, is anybody using a Fringer ef_fx adapter? My copy is running 2.30 software is this the latest version? If anybody knows or is running a different version it would be much appreciated. Many thanks.

Still love my old Fuji Dslrs the S1pro was my first Dslr chopped in one of my F5 Nikons to get t at the time and still own it along with a plus 1 a brace of S2pro 3x Spro3 and 2x S5pro bodies one of them still sealed new in Box.
It made sense at the time to go Fujifilm as it less than half the price of the D1 and offered 6mp output from 3mp sensor and I was able to use my lovely collection of Nikon glass on it.
I did a shot in lockdown with the S1pro and AF 105mico nikkor
