Is Travelodge self contained?

Yes
I have a room booked at a Travelodge in England on 7th / 8 th May. The Travelodge is one of the ones currently open.

Apparently they will contact me "in date order" to tell me if I can actually stay there. Strangely I'd like to know ahead of time.... :)

Obviously they aren't answering the phone or emails. Any guesses? It seems to depend on whether it's self contained or not. The room is and reception is usually automated but there may be a corridor that isn't. It's a brand new Travelodge so probably there aren't any plans on line.

Wwyd?

No idea, that seems a strange way to do it though.
Im booked a room in Southampton for tonight via hotels.com in a hilton for 43 quid and have had no bother other than them emailing to remindme of covid and ensure im travelling for a valid reason etc. But no queuing system.

Is it a work or leisure related stay. Loads of hotels open for people who need them for work or essential reasons....and no they aren’t ”self contained”

Leisure. Unless I identify as an elite athlete who are also exempt.

Hmm, yes, they say they will contact me "if I'm affected" and then refer to the government's incomprehensible guidelines.

I have a back up plan, but the Travelodge would be my preferred option.

to be fair both travelodges and premier inns Ive stayed at over the last year are more modern than this room, it's fine, it's just a bit on the tired side.

There's been a rolling refurb program since 2013. I joined in 2011 and the rooms were ropey at best at that point.

Dunno, that Mac looks reasonably new :)

You can't go wrong with Travelodge or Premiere Inn, great value for money.

Whenever we go to Blackpool or Llandudno we will use either of these brands rather than the bed and breakfasts, in Blackpool especially they're horrendous mostly, you know what to expect with Travelodge and Premiere Inn.

Now how do we activate the TP 50% discount? :ROFLMAO:
