Hi,
I've just bought my dream lens and my first Canon white - the Canon 300mm 2.8 IS L. The lens is in mint condition and I'd like to keep it in as good a condition as possible.
So just wondering if anyone could recommend a good lens coat - there's the Lenscoat on Wex which is around £90 or a cheaper one on ebay for £25. Is it worth paying the extra for the Lenscoat from Wex or will this one on ebay suffice?
I've got a Monopod I can use with the lens which is the Benro Adventure MAD49A, will it be ok to use the monopod attached directly to the lens foot or will the paint wear off? If it will wear is there some kind of lens foot I can attach first?
Lastly, I really could do with a new bag dedicated towards the Lens as it only fits in my current Lowepro backpack with nothing else in it and the hood has to be reversed. It would be great to have a bag where I can fit the lens in, with body attached, and the hood in shooting position.
Thanks for any advice!

Canon 300mm f2.8 EF IS USM Mk1 Neoprene camo lens cover | eBay
It is for the mk1 version, the mk2 version won’t fit. The Neoprene is lined on the inside in black and is reversible if you prefer plain black. I am now putting a hole in the hood for the tension screw which makes it more secure and it fits flatter, the one in the photo hasn't got a tension...
