Been back from Dorset for a week and just finished going through the photos.
Weather wasn't great for the 2 weeks we had, but it was nice to be back out with the camera after what seems like an eternity of lockdowns.
May isn't actually the best time for costal photography in Dorset as the sun rises and sets inland - I much prefer later in the year when you get light across the coast in the first and last hours of daylight.
I mainly went to Portland Bill to try and better some coastal spring flower shots I got a few years ago but was disappointed to see that one of the buildings next to the lighthouse had a load of scaffolding all over it
It was also far too windy to try and photograph tiny flowers in any kind of sensible way.
So - I decided to use the stormy weather to my advantage and found a composition of the last sunlight coming across the lighthouse. The stormy water and skies helped me out I think
