I have a 430EX II also and had problems a while back in that it wouldn't fire.
I've got two sets of eneloop batteries on rotation and they were fully charged so I couldn't figure out what was wrong. Auto, manual, anything I tried, it just wouldn't fire.
In the end, I googled it and the old...
I only know two people that have been to Rio and they've both been mugged.
One had his watch taken and the other had her engagement ring stolen.
ETA: Two unrelated people, two different trips.
Make of that what you will.
I think people under-estimate the danger of cows, but they've long since been the most dangerous animal in Britain in terms of number of people killed.
While signs may not stop people entering, if they are present and people choose to ignore them, then it would (hopefully) prevent...
If you already have LR5, it wouldn't be £140 to upgrade. And when I got my copy, it wasn't two years out of date.
That aside, it's horses for courses in terms of whether you buy in (literally) to the subscription model. I always that that when you buy a physical copy of anything it still...
In my perfect world, the model for development would be no different to how it works now. They continue to do rolling releases and you decide when to opt in for an upgrade. My main problem with the current model is this.
As it stands, I can continue to use both camera and software until the...
They weren't even clever enough to use their own shots, they used stock photos.
I also had this problem when I moved from my 600D to an 80D. I started off with the DNG conversion route, but quickly came to realise that I'd rather do it in one hit and upgraded to LR6. It probably menas that if I upgrade again, I'll have to go down the subscription route. I think the...
It's worth reading the comments as well.
I'm no expert, but the camera that came to mind first of all was some sort of 1D. Which wasn't on their list, but is mentioned in the comments section.
Interestingly, in this DP article, the 1DX mark II is the only Canon they even mention - although...
Here's a question - did any of you do any PP on these or were these only considered snapshots?
I didn't, but just looking back through some of mine taken on the Pentax, and there's lots I'd adjust nowadays. Lots of straightening, bit of exposure correction.
I only found out after doing some research recently, that it had a maximum f/2.8 though, and quite a neat macro function so while I don't think this is a great shot, it showed that it was more than capable of producing interesting images. This taken not long after I got the camera and was...
I don't think I have much worth sharing from mine. I have some great shots, as in great memories, from a tour of California we took the year I got it, but nothing that would stun the photography world.
My first one was a Pentax Optio 550. I ummed and ahhed for ages about buying it as it was £550 back in 2003.
Loved that camera and just wish I knew more about post processing and stuff at the time. I wasn't even aware that it shot RAW (didn't even know what that was) and tragically, I...
I'd say it was massively open to interpretation.
From an individual stand point, favourite means the one thing you like best. So, technically, you can't have two favourite places and therefore should be submitting two different shots of the same place.
But hardly anyone uses that definition...
Also - it would be interesting to see how far away you were and how much you're cropping in.
Using a 200mm lens on an APS-C camera means you'd need to be about 17m away to get a handler completely in frame head to toe.
Also - would you say this is a blanket criticism of ALL your shots from this show?
If not, what's your hit rate? Do you have shots you're happy with, what was different/particular about those shots that enabled them to work?
According to this list, there are 10 reasons why your images might be soft, but realistically, there are only three reasons why a photo is out of focus/blurry.
The subject is moving (too quickly for your settings)
the camera is moving (too quickly for your settings)
you/the camera missed the...
Depends where I'm posting them.
I don't really do instagram, but I'm all over Facebook. I post stuff from parties/events my friends and I have collectively been to, so that we can all enjoy the memories. I do process these shots to make them better (in my eyes) but they're not for magazine...
Trevor Walk SW7 - don't know how I remembered that.
