    Canon M50 Poor Low Light

I totally didnt even notice that. I've just checked my Amazon order. The item ordered says YN568II but clicking on it says YN560III. It's definitely the 568II i have. Wondering if im better off getting the ST-E2 as i'v read it works with the 568II without a receiver

    Canon M50 Poor Low Light

It's the Yongnuo YN-568EX II Master Flash TTL HSS.

    Canon M50 Poor Low Light

Ah that not a bad idea. Are they not about £80 for the transmitter though?

    Canon M50 Poor Low Light

Just ordered the EFM 22mm. I've got a gorillapod which is useful for certain situations, but could do with a tripod that has a head to fit the Peak Design MICROplate ideally. Any suggestions for those? Will take a look at the flash. I've got a Yongnuo YN-560 at the moment, hence it being a tad...

    Canon M50 Poor Low Light

Shutter speed was 1/60. I tend to run it in AV mode, although this photo had a couple of dogs in it which makes life a little trickier. I have found that even with people, there is always some blur when reducing the shutter speed, but that might be from hand shake come to think of it

    Canon M50 Poor Low Light

2500 ISO at f/6.0 and 15mm, which brings me onto the below. I've got a 50mm 1.8 STM, however the issue I find with this is that 50mm is just too much for indoor use. The above photo was taken at 15mm, and granted you can't see the full picture, 50mm would have been too much. Ideally I could...

    Canon M50 Poor Low Light

Out an about, this camera has taken some fantastic photos in the daylight. However family events inside, the ISO on the camera needs to be set quite high to make anything usable. The issue I have is that snapping a photo on my Google Pixel phone, yields much much better quality photos (even in...

    Lightroom Classic Develop Mode Noise?

Well crap, I did not realise this! How do you override the defaults so it doesn't add this to every photo. It's defaulting to 40 for me :/

    Lightroom Classic Develop Mode Noise?

I've only imported the CR3 files, although the thumbnails say they're an "Embedded Preview." What I don't understand though is how would any in camera processing be applied. RAW is RAW, so it must be something in LR, unless its just compressed for the preview so much that the noise detail is...

    Lightroom Classic Develop Mode Noise?

I've never noticed this until now, however when I take my RAW images into Lightroom Classic, the Library mode preview of the images has minimal noise, but as soon as I go into Develop mode, the image has a lot of Library Mode: Develop Mode: Is there a way to add the noise reduction into the...

    Screw on Arca Swiss Mount?

I did some more research and found similar stories. Changed my mind and opted for a screw type. Don't fancy hanging £00s off a Gorillapod only for the clamp to fail

    Alternative to a 70D

Forgot to mention I ordered the M50 in the end. Very happy with it, much more manageable and quality difference is negligible

    Screw on Arca Swiss Mount?

I use the Peak Design Capture, and previously on my DSLR I have the Manfrotto mount. To use this with my Capture and my GorillaPod, I bought a Manfrotto Quick Change plate which just screwed onto the top of my GorillaPod and I could clip the camera into both without issue. See...

Yep that's fair enough. Just seen that deal was only valid until midnight and I'm about to go away for a week. Will email and see if they can hold

Ah ok, are efinity importing to UK customers rather than have UK stock?

    Alternative to a 70D

Looks like the M50 is going to be the one. Need to find a decent price on it now, it's on efinity for £465 with kit lens, but I've never heard of them and it seems way too cheap. What's the catch

    Alternative to a 70D

To be honest, with the crop sensor I could do with a wider lens that I'd be happy to lose the zoom for. 11 - 22 or something I could probably live with I had the 18 - 55mm when I had a 550D due to its fixed fstop

    Alternative to a 70D

Any comments on the Canon M50? Seems pretty good from what I can see, but downsides being a relatively poor battery life and EF-M mount

    Alternative to a 70D

Thanks. The only thing that puts me off those is the lack of a flip out screen. I use that quite a lot

    Alternative to a 70D

At the moment my setup consists in my Canon 70D and the 24 - 105mm f/4.0. Whilst I love the camera and the lens, I'm finding I hardly ever use it because I quite simply cannot be bothered to lug about the camera everywhere I go. If I'm being honest, I'd much rather use my Pixel 2 camera as...

    Budget flash guns

Something like the 568ex? I've got a 70D and seems not all flashes support it..

    Budget flash guns

Does anyone have any suggestions on a budget flashgun for a Canon. Ideally just after something cheap I can use indoors to take photos of family occasions

    Compact alternatives

Thanks all. The Sony A6000/6300 do seem to be the best size. Are they a worthy competitor for a 70D on mirrorless vs mirrored?

    Compact alternatives

At the moment my everyday setup consists in my Canon 70D and the 24 - 105mm f/4.0. Whilst I love the camera and the lens, I'm finding I hardly ever use it because I quite simply cannot be bothered to lug about the camera everywhere I go. It too heavy to comfortably stick on my Peak Design...

    Canon 17-55mm f/2.8 STM equivalent?

I'm currently looking to upgrade to a Canon 70D and my current go to lens is a Canon 17-55mm f/2.8. I take a fair amount of photos inside, and with our wonderful British sunshine the fast lens really helps for outside shots and also gives a nice DOF. The problem is that I also want to shoot...

    Attempting to standardise mounts

I don't know if this is a common problem, but I've got a number of different devices, all with different mounts, and to be honest, it's getting a bit tiresome having to keep swapping the mounting plates about to use my kit. I'll focus on my main kit, as the other stuff I can deal with: Hahnel...

Canon with adjustable touchscreen and continuous AF?

Hi All, Can anyone suggest a Canon that has a flippable screen (preferably touch) and also supports continuous AF in video? I've got a friend who has a 550D but finds the lack of continuous AF in video annoying. Do they need specific lenses for this though too? I know the AF on my 550D is...

Wide Angle Lens for 550D on a budget?

It's the 10-20mm f4-5.6, not the 10-18. It might have been a haphazard comment, however the Sigma doesn't have IS, and whilst this shouldn't be a problem, I bought this lens mainly for inside photos due to the 24-105 not being wide enough. My issue is that I'd still need to be mostly in a...
