    Tour Auto 2018

Thanks Richard, I’m pretty happy with that last one - I’ve got a soft spot for that stretch of road. I wasn’t sure f the car was too tiny in the frame, but it works for me when I view it full size

    Circuit Des Remparts - Angouleme

Cheers Richard, it was a new event for me, and one I'd been keen to get to for a while, so it was good to finally get there. Loved the setting, I wish there were more events like this about, really good access, and a great party vibe around Angouleme for the whole weekend. The Rally Touristique...

    Circuit Des Remparts - Angouleme

Thanks very much, 7 was a great spot to shoot, with the cars really up in your face as they exited the hairpin Cheers Neil, it's a really interesting event to shoot. I've not had many chances to shoot motorsport in surroundings like this, so it was a real treat. Thanks very much indeed...

    Circuit Des Remparts - Angouleme

Cheers Simon, it was a really good event to go to. Really enjoyed the spectacle of the old cars hammering around the historic streets of Angouleme

New to Printing - I'm addicted!

Cheers Simon, I’m on first name terms with the people at the range in Darlo. Just need to find some more walls for printing stuff for myself as quite a few have gone elsewhere. Thanks buddy, hope you’re well

New to Printing - I'm addicted!

I’ve just started printing on the IP8750 at home as well. I’d heard that the Canon Pro Lustre was a decent paper to go with, so have been using that for a few prints, but I have some Astro shots that I want to get done at A3, so interested to hear that the titanium paper shows well. I’ll have to...

Congrats to all the winners. Some classy autumn shots. Shout out to Marcel and Mick for putting on the comp as well. Thanks folks

I did not know, it / they still existed

Not uncommon to see coal being delivered around here (North Yorkshire) I always get a kick out of seeing the two blokes who drive onto the beach at Hartlepool and spend each day raking and digging out the sea coal. There’s a vein out to sea which washes some ashore each day. It’s all small bits...

Recommend me a pair of Snow Boots

I used these for two winters in the Arctic. Tried and tested down to sub -40 https://www.adventurepeaks.com/shop/baffin-impact-boot/ They’re overkill for a lot of places, but I never had cold feet once, and that’s with hours stood out on frozen lakes. I can’t commend these highly enough. They...

    Simplicity

Agree with the above. I'd reckon to lose some from the bottom and the left hand side to balance the composition out a little. Could pop a little more with the advice above as well

    Autumnal Mist at Loughrigg Tarn

You're right, I'm not usually as drawn to the low hanging fruit spots, but I thought it was worth a trip up Loughrigg as I'd not shot up there before. I'm still glad I went up, but it certainly served as a reminder that I don't 'feel' the same sense of enjoyment from a morning shooting if it's...

    Autumn so far in Glencoe

Nothing out of the ordinary, but that first shot is a nice shot to record. You’ve got some really good stuff in glencoe, so it’s gotta be tough to keep improving on your current collection unless you get exceptional conditions. Nothing wrong with any of these at all though.

    Afternoon light, Curbar

Just saw this on Flickr. Nicely composed in what I imagine is a tricky scene to compose well. Kept everything balanced well. Strong work

    Autumnal Mist at Loughrigg Tarn

Thanks very much indeed folks - it was a great morning for conditions and it feels like it’s kickstarted me into taking a few more landscape images again. Much appreciated

    Autumnal Mist at Loughrigg Tarn

Thanks very much Ian, a little while since I've taken any landscapes, so good to get back to it. Cheers Tony, fortunately this picture doesnt say a thousand words haha. Much appreciated. A great vantage point this, and optimal for the autumn colours Thanks very much Much appreciated...

    Todd Cragg

All about the second and fifth shots for me there! Really good conditions, and a couple of very strong images there. I think you've done well with the last shot as well, but I definitely prefer the colour shots. Would that be Rob by any chance? That lad complains like its a competitive sport.

    Symonds yat sunrise

It's all about that first shot. Really well executed. Looks like pretty optimal conditions that.

    Autumnal Mist at Loughrigg Tarn

Shot to death this place, but I'd not been up there before myself. The forecast suggested heavy mist, and clear skies, and judging by the crowds of people up there, I wasn't the only one that picked up on this. Having drones flying overhead and loads of people wandering around really transformed...

    BTCC Season Final Brands Hatch

Thanks Simon, was nice to get down to Brands, I'd not been this season yet. The new catch fencing was a bit of a pita, but it's still a decent circuit to shoot at by UK standards. Hope you're well buddy

    Non UK Oulu - Finland

If you’ve got flexibility, I’d definitely recommend the area around Kuusamo and Levi. Lots of great trails for walking, sublime views and landscapes, decent facilities and more importantly, a much better weather system for clear skies, and darker skies for better aurora watching chances
