    Nikon Z6 and Z7 mirrorless

In the description it states several times it works with iOS, can’t see anything regarding whether it does or doesn’t transfer raw but from my experience it transfers raw, jpeg, tiff, .mp4 and .mov. I’m sure it will transfer more I just haven’t tried (y) Just checked and mine is the same model.

Just looked and the pictures show it with an external drive plugged in so I can only assume that it can power the drive? https://www.amazon.co.uk/Verbatim-98243-MediaShare-Wireless/dp/B00CZ0P0PS/ref=sr_1_4?keywords=verbatim&qid=1560793920&s=gateway&sr=8-4

The Verbatim? I've never tried a hard drive and not sure whether it would have the power to do so tbh. However, I've just thought of another issue so you might have to scrap that idea. The verbatim that I had had one SD slot and one USB slot, which was fine for me as I put the SD card in and...

    Nikon Z6 and Z7 mirrorless

I used to use the verbatim media share and backed up onto USB sticks, but now I have both an iPhone and iPad with plenty of storage so just back up onto those. However, I still keep the original images on the cards, you can never have too many backups ;) My EM1-II is my travel camera though so...

Camera body and lens for general and motorsport use

The VC one is supposed to be pretty good, although not quite as good as the Nikon I believe.

I picked up a 128gb from foto specialist (I think it was) for £129 but it was the 440/150mb/s Sony rather than the 440/400mb/s one.

The Z's are great cameras, and overall I think better than the D750. The only thing you might find is that frame rate is slightly less (if you want real time view) and blackout is longer making it more tricky for burst shooting/panning. For everything else the Z's are a winner (y)

    CPL and grads together.....

It can give "similar" results but not the same imo. Depending on the scene, light etc CPL's can give a depth to objects that is difficult to replicate in post imo.

XQD cards are expensive from everywhere tbh. I know that Panamoz do sell them cheaper when you buy gear from them, not sure if e-infinty is the same? Every now and again you find one cheaper than anywhere else, but you have tom be quick as the price soon goes up again. The Sony card reader is...

    Panasonic G9 or Olympus E-M1ii

This is why I think we're talking about two different things tbh, the rendering I'm talking about is not influenced by the BG. These have a really cluttered BG but still render differently to the m4/3 to my eyes (y) NZ7_1299 by TDG-77, on Flickr NZ7_1281 by TDG-77, on Flickr To be honest...

    Panasonic G9 or Olympus E-M1ii

Maybe I"m not explaining it very well, but it's not as simple as getting a tilt-shift effect. I know it's not an ideal comparison as I said before, but I prefer the way the car is rendered on the FF, taking the background out of the equation and how blurred it may or may not be there is...

I found this amongst the photos, similar POV/positiion but the car is slightly further away and it does have some other cars in the background ;) P6090002-Edit by TDG-77, on Flickr

This is the closest comparison I have. Not a great one as this is with the 45mm so completely different FOV but it gives an idea of the difference in 'look' Havana, Cuba 2019 by TDG-77, on Flickr And the FF one again for comparison NZ7_1291 by TDG-77, on Flickr For the record, I'm not saying...

Camera body and lens for general and motorsport use

The cheaper f6.3 70-300mm is designed for DX bodies so will be great on the D3300/3500. If the D3500 can be had cheaper then go for that, it’s just a newer model.

Nikon D3300 and 55-300mm or 70-300mm would one of the cheaper options whilst still giving great IQ.

Back to the Meerkats, here's a 1:1 crop on the m4/3 and then the D850 with a similar amount of cropping. In hindsight the m4/3 is a touch over sharpened for a 1:1 image, but this was never my intention ;) I still think the m4/3 looks better, even though it's over sharpened. P2272155-Edit copy...

    Panasonic G9 or Olympus E-M1ii

It is, but I still don't think it's the same in terms of 'look'. I've got loads of m4/3 images where the background is completely obliterated, but I'm yet to get this pop/3d/miniature look.

    Panasonic G9 or Olympus E-M1ii

The whole increased DOF thing is both a pro and con, depending on what you're shooting. Having extra DOF is definitely preferably in certain situations, and I use this to my advantage on holidays. However, I do like shallow DOF. I'm not keen on the half an eyelash type shallow DOF, but I like...

    Panasonic G9 or Olympus E-M1ii

It's a difficult comparison that as the D850 is 45.7mp vs 20mp of the EM1 therefore you're not getting similar images/perspective when both at 1:1. As I mentioned before if I look at the EM1-II image at 1:1 and the D850 'zoomed' to the same level the difference is minimal IIRC. I'll try and find...

    CPL and grads together.....

50/50 for me. I have the Firecrest system though that allows use of the CPL without the main filter holder which is handy. Also, I have two of the adapters one with the CPL fitted and one without, this way I can have CPL only, ND filters only or ND filters and CPL filters, all with as little...

I don’t think it’s user replaceable on the iMac unfortunately, you can only change RAM.

This will slow it down, I wouldn’t buy a computer with HDD these days tbh. LR and PS are pretty intensive pieces of software and will only get more so in the future. If you want to future proof I’d suggest a decent speed i7 processor, 16GB RAM minimum, and SSD. If you’re looking at the 5k iMac...

    Panasonic G9 or Olympus E-M1ii

Agreed, if you have to do that it shows there's not much in it. Surprisingly there's still not much in it at 1:1 on the Olly and the D850 file 'zoomed' to the same amount.
