I was playing about with the idea of getting a Full frame camera, currently using a Nikon D5300 and looking to add a D600/D610/800E to this.
Is there much point will I see much difference, main use is wildlife and landscape.
I currently have a sigma 70 - 200 f2.8 non OS which has been a great lens but looking for a bit more reach and a lens with OS if this matters on this size of zoom when you get up to the 500mm mark
Was looking at either the Sigma 50-500mm f/4.5-6.3 DG OS HSM or the Nikon AF 80-400mm f/4.5-5.6D...
I do not need a lens above 200mm however found that on a few rare occasions i would like 300-400.
So looking at either a 1.4 teleconverter for my Sigma 70-200mm F2.8 or would i be better just getting a sigma 70-300mm f/4-5.6 apo dg macro?
Excellent thanks, I have a D300 and looking at various lenses the Nikon being one of them, I have already sent an older lens off to MPB and have asked about trading in to the Sigma 120-300 2.8 but have seen your lens and made me think about that. Mainly it would be left in the car for taking...
Thanks that's helped a lot, what I mean by zooming in was zooming right in gives more camera shake and on the 80 400mm will give a smaller aperature.
I think I would be using mine for Deer / birds mostly static however the occasional fast moving family pet.
I am getting my old kit setup again which includes a Nikon D300, looking for a zoom lens for action shots of dogs, wildlife and cycling sports so looking at 2 different lenses
They are a sigma 100-300mm f/4 ex apo if dg hsm or a 70-200mm F2.8 EX APO DG Macro HSM II
I will try to explain best I can, however I have a Sigma 70-200mm f/2.8 EX DG II HSM Macro and carrying it about can be difficult, so is there an option where I can add something onto the lens mount to make it easy to carry?
I bought my son a few lenses including a Sigma 70-200mm f/2.8 EX DG II HSM Macro for his Nikon D5300.
However I was thinking about having a play and getting an older camera which I used to have a Nikon D300 so would the lenses my son uses with his D5300 work well with the D300 as not sure about...
I am looking at 2 different setups any suggestions, this will be used for holiday pics , dog walking pics , landscapes etc.
Kit 1: Sony NEX 7 plus 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 OSS lens
Kit 2: Sony NEX 5N plus Sony 50mm F1.8 OSS
Both coming in at the £300 mark
I have no camera at the moment any suggestions on one , just for occasional use when on holidays etc. I might push up to £300 2nd hand.
I previously had a Samsung NX3000 which I quite liked but looking at others too like a Sony NEX 5 or A3000 something along those lines.
I will be looking for...
Any suggestions on a 2nd hand or new lens for my son.
I previously had a Sigma 70-200mm f/2.8 EX DG OS HSM which i loved and guess would be what he wants
He will be using on his Nikon D5300 and mainly for taking photos of dear and our labs in action, so better sticking with the Sigma 70-200mm...
My son is looking for a large zoom for taking pictures of wildlife deer / birds etc. any suggestions on a lens.
Also not sure what lens goes with what , currently he has a Sigma 18mm-300mm 3.5-6.3 which is fine but would like the further reach.
Seen a Sigma 150-600mm f/5-6.3 DG OS HSM C and a...
I am getting a very cheap setup for myself which includes a Nikon D3000, however not sure what lens to go or fit with it but narrowed it down to these:
Sigma 55-200mm F4.5-5.6 DC HSM
Nikon 55-200mm F3.5-5.6 AFS DX G, however i think the nikon should say F4-5.6 as cant find a F3.5-5.6
