    I do not need a lens above 200mm however found that on a few rare occasions i would like 300-400. So looking at either a 1.4 teleconverter for my Sigma 70-200mm F2.8 or would i be better just getting a sigma 70-300mm f/4-5.6 apo dg macro?

    Thanks that's helped a lot, what I mean by zooming in was zooming right in gives more camera shake and on the 80 400mm will give a smaller aperature. I think I would be using mine for Deer / birds mostly static however the occasional fast moving family pet.
