    Nikon D750 v D7500

If you’re budget restricted this isn’t going to help but I’d probably throw the d500 in the mix. For wildlife dx will give you extra reach but I really think that comparing d7xxx with the 750 iq and therefore what you can crop to cancels it out in my experience... King Vulture by Sibling...

Been through same debate recently and settled on the 1.8g but I bought it whilst the Nikon cash back was available, so I was a pretty good deal. So far not had chance to get out and about with it as work has been getting in the way :( Pretty sure I saw one on the classifieds recently...

    Decent walk about lens

Think it depends on your criteria. Fast? Flexible focal length? Specific range or fixed length? Weight? I have a tamron 24-70 f2.8 but walking round all day with it in my hand gives my wrist rsi! For that reason picked up a Nikon 50mm f1.8g...can hardly tell it’s there [emoji846]

So in my attempt to try and travel light at times, now I have the 50mm what would any of you guys recommend as a holster or top loading bag. Evrything I’ve seen tends to look a bit utilitarian unfortunately. Something that would take a few minor accessories, D750 camera and up to 24-70 lens as a...

    Beginner Do I need a 35mm f1.8?

True, but I think we’re saying the same thing,....or at least I’m not disagreeing with you ;) depends on what you want them for. Primes I’ve had have primarily been for DoF and performance in low light due to large aperture. I’ve found the ones I’ve had to be sharper than my zooms, but then...

    Beginner Do I need a 35mm f1.8?

I didn’t specifically mean sharpness, but as with everything it depends on what you are looking for I guess :)

    Beginner Do I need a 35mm f1.8?

Sure prime lenses will generally outperform zooms. Should you have one of those 35mm in your kit bag? Definitely imho, super sharp, a great focal length to work with for all sorts and pretty cheap for a prime. Would I use it for landscape? maybe at a pinch but depends on where you are in...

Going to order one off Amazon too. You have until Friday to be valid for nikon cashback I think Wondering what might happen to prices after friday though as they've risen in price a bit recently I was tracking a few on eBay and they have been going s/h for £125 ish or more. So new one at 199...

D7200/7500 maybe? Use your same lenses? I had a d7000 for years and 35mm 1.8 I thought was great in low light, and when cleaned up nicely when for me on occasion there might have been a but too much noise. In some respect I still miss my d7000...it was way lighter and generally to my eye...

So I’ve been running with a tamron 24-70 f2.8 for quite a while and I’m toying with the idea of trying a nifty fifty as a lighter alternative I know they have been posts about various 50mm options but what’s the general consensus on Nikon 1.4d v 1.8d v 1.4g v 1.8g I’ve been erring towards 1.8d...

    Nikon D750

The 24-70 is pretty hefty i find. I also have a Tammy 70-300 but honestly find myself sticking to the 24-70 most of the time, just have to get into habit of shifting my arse closer to the subject! By the way do you (or anyone else) use the tamron tap-in console? I just ordered a g2 150-600 and...

    Nikon D750

Hmmm. Seems whatever I do I’m not going to get as fast a lens as a 24-70 and slightly longer range, and although it’s weighty I’m loathe to give that aspect up Maybe I should just go for the 150-600 and then see how much I still use the 70-300 to plug the gap. I have to say when I do use the...

And seeing as I haven’t posted any photos for ages either.....this was taken at Colchester zoo and actually is a composite shot because I nailed focus on the beak and focus on the eyes on two different shots and really should have increased the DoF! But I like how it turned out [emoji4] Taken...
