Nutters with Cameras - f&c style.

I'd be up for that :) as long as someone had a gas detector, I've seen video from those tanks (at least I think it was the same ones).

I would like to say sheep because there were sheep around but it's too white and probably too big so it looks like a dust spot that I missed, well spotted.

    Strange artefact - any ideas?

Thanks all, I was asking just out of interest, I've binned it anyway. It was misty lower down but reasonably clear higher up but you could be right, I shot quite few yesterday morning but this was the only one from that location in that direction and the sun is to camera left. This was LR...

Me too. Well at least we can blame the camera for the focus

    Strange artefact - any ideas?

Shot this this morning, I have really ramped up the dehaze on this rendition to make it obvious but the sky is half purple half blue. It looks a bit like lens flare but I was in shadow, any ideas what the cause is?

    Review Blackout material for darkroom.

    Lines

I'm unsure about this, I've looked at it for a while so it is certainly engaging. I would definitely loose the bright patches at the bottom, I guess the top part is just a bit too "organic" for me.

    North England Lake District

Coniston to Ambleside is 20 mins and you can call in at Hodge Close or Tarn Hows on the way. Coniston is nearer to Wast water than either of Ambleside or Keswisk are, hour an a bit through Little Langdale and over Hardknott. The OP asked for an alternative to Kewsick, I was trying to be helpful...

    Review Blackout material for darkroom.

I'd make simple timber frames that are a close fit in the window reveal and staple the blackout material to the frames. Use some thick felt or foam pipe insulation (camping mat, etc) to make the fit nice a snug so that the blackout is just a push fit. Depends on the shape of your windows of course.

    North England Lake District

The lake district is a bit more compact than Snowdonia so you never have far to travel from where ever you stay. Coniston village is a bit smaller and a bit less busy than Ambleside, it has a few good pubs which do food and as with anywhere in the lakes has loads of walks and loads to photograph.

Mercy killing & end of life choices

Clearly the bar should be set high, all the recent cases that I have heard about are people who have a terminal illness but have lost the physical ability to take their own life. I think if you have the ability to take your own life (elderly, depressed, etc.) then assisted suicide would not be...

Vintage lenses - what's this trend all about???

Remember Venn diagrams from school? The notion was that there were distinct sets of things but that for some situations some of those things were in more than one set. We seem to have a lot of this kind of debate on here and I can only suppose it is because photography is a single word that...

Mercy killing & end of life choices

It's fine by me too, I was just making the point that in debates in the media on this subject people's religious affiliations are never raised.

Mercy killing & end of life choices

I agree with the above. One thing that interests me when this subject is debated on the media is why people are not asked their religious affiliations. When politics is debated, the political affiliations are always pointed out* but on this subject I suspect a large number of the "anti" group...

    Dollond rangefinder - any info?

In mine it was the half-silvered mirror that had lost it's silvering or else it might have been salvageable, it probably is but not really worth it.

A couple from Bath at the weekend

Thanks Nige, the building far left is just blown-out in the sun, the shot was in shade but I quite liked it too.
