It found this use of my photo, on a bog for a timeshare company. The photo is credited and my watermark still intact but I have not said they can use it and they haven't asked. looks like they have used it since 2010 and yet Pixsy says i cannot request a case for it saying "resolution is not...

You need to go onto the pricing page and click join on the free account there, you wont need an invitation code that way. I know that because I just did it and imported the max amount of photos on the free account.

Looking to buy new zoom limited budget

This is a good point, a lack of VR on the Sigma and the other suggested Tamron lens, although they are 100mm longer than the Nikon I feel VR might be worth having more than the extra 100mm.

Looking to buy new zoom limited budget

That Tamron is a good price, I had not considered Tamron. The shots from the Nikons look good but if you had that extra 100mm you could have got even closer shots, right? Hmmm

Looking to buy new zoom limited budget

I have a Nikon D5300 and I want to get a long zoom lens for things like Nature, Macro and street photography. I have been looking at lenses and i see 2 that are in my budget range for new lenses but I cannot choose between the two of them. Any help deciding or experience of these lenses would be...

    Editing a LR preset

Thank you all so much for the answers. It was the grad filters. I clicked on the grad filter, that then made about 8 buttons appear on the image where the blurring had been applied so simple resetting the filter got rid of all the blurring and now I have been able to adjust my preset to my own...

    Editing a LR preset

I am using lightroom 4. I will have a search on the internet tonight after work to see if I can find instructions to enable and disable radial gradient. Thanks.

    Editing a LR preset

Unfortunately even if i go through each development tab and turn it off the blur still stays on the photo so it seems to be unable to be edited that way. Which is why i was asking about editing the preset in notepad.

    Editing a LR preset

I have a preset which I downloaded, which i really like. The thing is, during the preset being actioned it creates a vignette blur on the outside edges of the image. On some photos this works and on other it does not. I have opened up the preset file in notepad and have not yet worked out how to...

    Sigma 70-300 stopped autofocusing?

I have tried moving the switch a bit but no luck. I bet it is the switch. Camera still meters in auto with the lens but when pressing the shutter button to get it ti autofocus the LCD screen goes off and comes back on once the shot it taken. In both manual and autofocus modes.

    Sigma 70-300 stopped autofocusing?

I have a Sigma 70-300 F4-F5.6 DG Macro lens which i bought 2 years ago. I went to use it the other day but there is no autofocus action working on it at all. It manual focuses fine, which to me, means the gears are not blocked, but even when i tried it in another camera body last night, the...

    Clothing company want images

The thing I wonder is if you said £x for 100 shirts, how would you know if they had sold 100 shirts or 10000? In this instance I personally think it might be better to set the licence to a length of time as well as just the number of items printed. Just my thoughts though. Although I agree with...

    Clothing company want images

I just went on getty.com and priced up an image i found, so it was for one image. I think you might need to consider how much the person asking may be willing to pay, as asking a fly by night solo entrepreneur for £275 per image may be a bit over optimistic, but a large organization may pay...

    Clothing company want images

You need to ask things like, how many items will be made using your image or how many years is the license for? I did a quick price up on getty for what i thought was the nearest category, retail and fashion, up to 10,000 items for a 5 year license they priced as £275. You need to find out what...

    Android DSLR controller apps

But as said, you can set it to bracket exposures as much as you like before starting the exposures, for some people that alone would be useful, without including all the other things you can do with the app. My phone goes with me on every photography trip so it wouldn't be a case of having an...

    Nikon D5xxx Owners Thread

Hi Barry, welcome to the forum and the world of the D5000! Things I noticed when I upgraded from a D3000 were the images seemed a lot clearer and less noise in low light. Also, the buffer on the D5000 was quicker, on the D3000 if you used continuous shutter mode the buffer took a while before...
