Adjusting the Arca Swiss P-0 tension range.

Its great to see this post as usually theres not a lot of info about these heads and I agree with Hoppy with it being a great under-appreciated head on the market! I have the Arca Swiss L Bracket too...which is great, but you can't centre the locking plate which is annoying. I did contact...

    River Wear Sunset.

Cheer jazzycat, it was a good evening out. :-) I should use that as a quote, cheers Craig. I think a lot of little things came together for this one.....but it can be a bugger chasing the boats up and down the river with the tide! :-) Thanks. Simon

    River Wear Sunset.

A sunset photo on the quayside on the River Wear from back in July.I've been to this location a number of times but never had very good weather conditions or the sunset has faded away at the last moment leave no colour. Its a great location which has a lot of potential so I will be returning and...

    Nikkor 200-500?

Thanks for the info John. Do you find that the AF on the D500 improves the AF on the 200-500? I just find sometimes that the D800 200-500 struggles in certain conditions.

    Nikkor 200-500?

Always love to see the otters. John how was the 200-500 on the D500? I'm currently shooting with a D800, but keep thinking about getting a D500 for wildlife.

    Sigma 500mm f4 Sport

    Sigma 500mm f4 Sport

Yeah, reviews are looking excellent and although the price is still eye wateringly expensive its nicely priced compared to the Nikon/Canon parties. Should work well with the 1.4 converter too. Can't wait to see peoples photos from this on here. Cheers

    B&W One of many Piers

No silly questions! And I'll try not to give you a silly answer! :-) This was about 16:30ish so right on sunset, there was still plenty of light, but given the location the sun can get cut off a little early due to the buildings. This was shot with a 10stop ND and a 3stop soft grad to hold back...

    B&W One of many Piers

There haven't finished all the building work after the storms, but I don't think it'll be long now! :-) You can just spot the 'bit's on the very right hands side of the photo.

    B&W One of many Piers

Headed out to one of the local piers on Sunday evening to see if I could catch some sunset colours. I've been trying to get a good shot from this location for a while, but the colour in the sky and the high tides have always alluded me. Not to be defeated on this evening I decided to go for a...

    (Captive) Birds of Prey Workshop

Thanks for all the comments guys! It was from Alan Hewitt's Workshops: http://alanhewittphotography.co.uk/birds-of-prey-photography-workshops/ The locations didn't require 500mm, but I do prefer the DOF at 500mm. My daughter was using a 70-200 f4 and other people tried lots of different focal...
