    Light painting cars

I shot this using a studio flash which has an LED light feature in it. However though the same effect can be achieved using a Yongnuo YN300 Use to be my first light https://www.amazon.co.uk/YONGNUO-YN-300-Camera-3200k-5500k-Remote/dp/B00DYVSMHA

    Bugatti Veyron 16.4

It was shot using a Tokina 11-16. Regrettably because it is in a detailing bay there is only about 2 meters from the car in most angels and the car was shifted corner to corner. The side shot was taken from another room facing back in.

    Bugatti Veyron 16.4

When you're called up at 11pm and told there is a Veyron to be photographed and it goes at 9 am the next day you can't say no! Love it or hate it, this car is a pinnacle of engineering. It posed a few challenges to photograph it, especially in a rush with no prep but I am ecstatic to have the...

Unexpected local guides reaction, what to do?

Normally that would just be the case. I do it for the love of doing it. However, this isn't the standard couple of 100 views, this is millions. If my photo inspired 1 in say 10,000 people to buy a ticket that would be an additional 258 tickets would be worth about £25k. I am sure if you found...

Impressive, however you wouldn't expect 200 of anything to look like that. It looks a lot less than what you would expect.

Unexpected local guides reaction, what to do?

The 4 million is the overview of all my photos, but that single image currently sits at 2,574,374 on its own (second grab). My next highest photo is 74k. Without having a full read of it I would guess the words "no monetary value" would be in there somewhere, but there must be an angle. Part of...

Unexpected local guides reaction, what to do?

Hi all, I don't know how many of you are familiar with Googles local guides so I will just do a quick overview. Guides is a community project that is designed to get users (us) out and about documenting places, businesses, attractions and so forth so Google can build a massive back catalogue of...

    The Cameras Which Made Me.

The Nikon D90 This camera is life, I will never sell it. Unlike the other two this till sits in with my main equipment. Barely used now, it still holds the largest importance for me as this is where my business started. After finishing uni I started working at Tesco as at the time it proved...

    The Cameras Which Made Me.

Fuji Film S9600 Toward my final years at uni, hybrid cameras were coming out they were a cheap alternative to getting to the DSLR game. They felt professional, looked professional but only needed a singular lens to do it all. I was shunned by people who thought they were pro (talking about...

    The Cameras Which Made Me.

Afternoon, It would be fair to say that we live in a throwaway society. Everything has a shelf life and when the day arrives, we moved on the next biggest and brightest thing. Phones, TVs, cars and cameras… I am slightly sentimental to objects. Everything I buy is bought with purpose and very...

I am currently going through my hard drives and organising over 10 years of photos. Because I have seen my fair amount of cars over these years I have stripped out what wasn't client work and put it into an archive. My Carchive if you will. I will still post photos but I was wondering if there...

My difficulties going from film to digital

Ideally you need to run your test with both cameras on the same day, same angle. The kodak is flat due to the weather and the sony has contrast due to the sun. 90% of photograph is in the composition, seeing it through a photographers eye. Quality wise you won't see an amazing jump as megapixels...
