What have you done with your camera today

Hi, on a hazy, sunny morning I went to Frankfurt to take pictures of the bridges across the Main (SONY A7Rii - ZEISS Batis 2/25). Two miles from home, there was a traffic jam:

    Official Talk Leica thread

Hi, the same goes for the SONY A7 and A7R2, and appears to hold for the Leica SL, Canon, Panasonic and Sigma mirrorless. The mirrorless bodies above offer some advantages compared to the M9 (higher resolution, higher ISO, IS, bigger, tiltable screen, higher shutter speed) one pays for with...

Hi, again we could ask the Chubby-Checker-Limbo-question how low can you go focal length-wise with the Z7? When will corner smearing set in with the Z7? At 35mm? Or below that ? I do not want to spoil the fun, but adapting Leica M mount lenses to other bodies can be very tricky ... --- I did...

What have you done with your camera today

Hi, the question is, of course, how it will perform with WA or UWAs. I can see good reasons for using Leica M mount lenses on the Z7 now, native lenses not being available, and if so, being of the heavy metal variety. But in the long run, it might be better to take a purist approach: Leica...

Hi, we have a Super E10 here, too. I contains some bio-fuel, which is said to be good for the environment, but a lot of acreage is used to grow the green ingredient. This is said to be not good for cars, so I avoid it, using only Super fuel for my cars.

Hi, they use so-called Super-Plus now, I suppose. - I am not sure, however, whether this is really equivalent to unleaded Super. I shall ask high-end GT owners ... But, sorry, super-unleaded is available here, but not the old Super ... :sorry:

CLASSIC and important CARS - open thread:

Hi, I cannot estimate how high the running costs would be in Germany. Super-unleaded is not available any more here. So, one must use special additives, from the net. But these are the things one does for love, ariel7515 ... ;)

Hi, the KR 200 had 4 gears. To go backwards, there was a special starting procedure to make the engine run in the other direction, meaning you had 4 reverse gears! A reverse gear (I assume a special gear-box) was available as an extra. I found this in Wikipedia, I have no personal experience...

    motorbikes old/new...open thread??

Hi, it looks like a reincarnation of the German MESSERSCHMITT Kabinenroller (literally Cabin-Scooter). The seating makes it a scooter. And nowadays there are scooters with two front wheels. So, it could be shown in a bike thread. (I have shown it in a car thread here.) I 'll show some pics when...
