Yes

Somewhere in early December 2016, during a wildlife
mentoring class I was hosting, some guys of this group
took, in the sneakiest of ways, some shots of me.

WITH CANONs!

Sure there were some Nikon users in the group but
Elfriede and Reinhold, with their new gear, thought it
was a good idea to take me with it. Me, a very long time
Nikon user.

Should I yell SCANDAL or just smile?

I must admit my first feel of a DSLR was a friends Canon 300D many years ago and it felt quite good but fate turned me over to the dark side and I've felt a warm smugness ever since.

:nikon:

If anyone can Canon can

Just bask in the great memory and dream - one day, one day....

ƒ 1.2?
… surely a Canon guy! ;)
Nice wellies.................:):):olympus:
I had to look "wellies" up…
Yes, these are Canadian made for real winters. They
were sent to me by friends!
The winter shoes they have here do not permit long
hours of immobility in the cold. Love them!

More interestingly what were you shooting with the big lens?

In the first picture, I was illustrating how to follow a BiF
— in this case, a juvenile common gull — on uneven
terrain and the advantages of a higher position.

Crop it 16:9 or 2:1 perhaps. - it's just a thought.

This is a 2x3 crop.

I practice a rigorous 2x3 horizontal and 3x4 vertical
crop strategy for publishing.

I do, however, digress when needed!
