Saw this bee resting in the evening sunshine on the trunk of one of our trees. Having just packed up my kit for the day, I thought that this was a good reason to get the lot out again and put on the macro Vivitar 100mm.

Good shot - shame his head isn't visible - you really need to focus on the head, but bees are a sod to shoot - they're never still, so I know just how difficult they can be. :)

I hate shooting bees. The fur tend to play havok with the metering, and as you say, they don't stay still for very long.
