A bit of fun at sunset

Yes
With a bribe of a chippy the kids and I headed down to Longniddry to see if the ball of fire in the sky would turn red tonight. Clear sky so not much hope but it really did turn out nice. It was a team effort for most of these shots with me setting up, my daughter and me modelling(I look best in silhouette) and my teenage son directing and hitting the shutter.
It's been a long 24 hours but one of the best I have had in a long time.

Beautiful colours.
Fun aside, I think they are compositionally excellent.
Lovely silhouette work.
Fun included, they are shots to treasure.
Each can be used to tell a story.
Seems it was a great experience for you all.

Some lovely colors. If this was yesterday, then we also had a cracking sunset. I tried something similar with my five year old nephew but even bribery and 1/6400 he is still a blur :)

Sunset shots with a difference, love em. :)

Lovely shots, I would be very happy if I'd got shots like that.

The colours are beautiful, nice and sharp with good exposure but also a nice record of a family time. Especially like #2, it has a real sense of fun to it.

Shutter speeds were low but I made sure we took enough to get some keepers. The one with me lifting my daughter was 1/20, the holding hands was 1/3 and the karate kick was a 1/40 and by that time we were at 1600 iso and down to f5.6
