…my first bird on a stick since a long time!!!

At 207 metres and easily overlooked this tweety tiny thing
was shot with a 600mm on a D850 and cropped severely.

Many thanks to Anneliese (9yo) who asked her mother:
"Mama, what's the blue thing that is moving over there?"
that alarmed me of its presence. By the time I spotted it
through the VF, it had turned around! :)

Thanks Roger! :)

I learned that family was visiting parents in the area
but are from Bruck an der Mur… too far to possibly
convey personally your comment! :(

There are bird on a stick shots and bird on a stick shots

You mean, Andrew, that this take belongs
in the first or second category? :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::wacky:

Thanks and HNY to all of you! :)

That really is lovely - well caught. Looks like you've settled down to the 850 now, noise or no noise.

Thank you Sir! :)

I remember the time I was using the D800E and the
shock I had when, after a click, someone in front of
me (with no eyes behind his head!) said: "Aaah, the
very clinky sound of the D800x"… The fellow had the
D810!

Everyone is quieter than me (I?).
