The proposed night scene of the main buildings of a client's
operations took captures over two hours and several shots
that were composited in post production.

I order to be able to produce this image, the client sugges-
ted the shoot when it is closed, on Mondays. Eventually, the
real shoot will have more dramatic skies.

D3X + 24 mm ƒ1.8 lens.

I really like the colour of the sky in this shot and how the to of the building lines up with the tree line on the right. Great work

Nicely done Daniel, I have two observations:

  1. I personally would lift the shadows very slightly to show the roof outline a little more.
  2. There is some distortion to the top left ... whilst the majority of roof/rail supports are vertical, to the top left they start to lean to the left.

TY, Tilly!

For very deep the blue my be, the shot will be redone
hoping for more colourful sky.

The tree line is cool on the right but not so on the left
and the bits over the lower roof should be cloned out.

Thanks Roger
lift the shadows
As the shoot did spread over two hours, the end shoot
should go for more time and other sky in order to fill the
low key data.
distortion to the top lef
Correct… though the stonewall at the base of the stairs
has a tilt to the left

If you have shot it in the evening then you need to try morning or vice versa. Shadows are far too dark for commercial applications. External additional lighting could be also used. Finally verticals are diverging upwards - trivial to correct. Don't forget to switch on all the lights indoors
