A couple of thistles

While out walking around Carsington Water in Derbyshire this weekend I spotted a couple of thistles I liked. These are my first proper posted images on Talk Photography.

Thanks very much, I'll keep trying. The colour against all the green is what attracted me to it.

Nice and sharp, however, I can't help thinking they're underexposed?

Thanks @wezza13, I think you're right about being slightly underexposed. I've processed them through NIK Efex Pro and I darkened them slightly in there to bring out the colour in the first and the texture in the second.
