A few from a LNHS walk, Hampstead Heath

The LNHS (London Natural History society do lots of walks, if you are free on Saturdays and live in London it is well worth going on them). Do other cities have something similar UK or abroad?

Nice set David. Excellent clarity in the first and last. The second is very interesting - good/lucky timing to see it/them ? emerging. Was that your hand or someone else's in #3? Well done getting the shot if it was your hand.

Interesting to see such a small aperture used.

The 60mm EF-S is giving you good service. Presumably it is a quite small and light lens?

Looks like those walks are a good way to find subjects.

I have to admit that the insects in the gall were because someone else opened it, I don't normally do that myself - I try to do no harm.
It was my hand that the caterpillar was one, thank you.
The 60mm is really light.
I really like the LNHS with a young son I cannot go to many of their events, you could easily go to twice a month - best to take a telephoto lens and macro lens for most of them.
