I like the spider best David. Nicely done stacking something that small.

It looks a bit low in contrast to my eye (there are large gaps at the top and bottom of the histogram). I think some more detail might be made visible; something like this perhaps?

First two look good and the edit by Nick has brought out some more detail and colour.

No I used darktable which works well - I am rather limited by lack of space for a bigger monitor,colour blindness and problems with the mouse - I don't get on with them for find control which you need for some photo editing like paintbrush etc.

Colour blindness, i can imagine that's quite a handicap for you. Iv'e not tried Darktable perhaps ill give it a whirl.
