Conditions better but still shot over a long distance. Heron was flushed by a Moorhen and did not eturn for the rest of the day.

Thanks for the comment. The photo's were taken at wellington Gravel Pits, Herefordshire. The heron has been present for over a week now. It tends to favour two areas. The one where these shots are taken which is close to a footpath the other area is closed to the public as gravel extraction is still being carried out in the area.
 
Much better opportunity for you there, I like 1 & 2 particularly with the foliage/reeds.
