D. Ornata by T0P cat, on Flickr

Found this big beast just hanging upside down in the leaves.

A pair of Mites that didn't know what to do when i revealed them, they kept running away then turned back towards each other. They are a bugger to catch in focus though.

That mite be the wrong way. by T0P cat, on Flickr

And this beautiful D. ornata ( i think ) This was shot with the 1.4 TC attached and this always makes the out of focus area on my pictures really blurred almost like frosted glass.
This is my favourite shot of Collembola that i have taken so far.

Best viewed on Flickr, they are not showing very well on here tonight for some reason.

Great variety and finds and set.

#1 is my fav the shield bug could have been done with less magnification as it doesn't look like you have used that level on purpose with antenna being cut etc...

An "Excellent" set of images Tom, with some really good detail and colour. #2 has so much impact, and #4 is also a very strong shot with some good lighting.(y)

Yet another great shot Tom, with good composition, and some fine detail.(y)

To me your lighting looks just fine. You're retaining some nice contrast yet still showing some detail in the highlights & shadows. Imho it looks like you've pretty much nailed it.

George.
