Nice focus on the water drop 'lens' but that harsh light and really small file size (39k) has really sapped the detail.

Nice capture. I think you will find the fly is not having a drink, in fact it is secreting some sort of re-gurgetated (sp) vomit! imho of course

I agree with Robert, nice picture but the detail has suffered quite a bit.

Robert...changed for a less compressed version. The shot was taken without flash...just a dose of early morning sun. I only got the 5D on Tuesday...Condycks old relic!...so need I to get better acqainted.

Gilly..."A fly vomiting" in the title block would maybe lack some appeal.
You're perfectly right though...it sucked the bubble in as I was focussing and I thought I'd missed my chance.....then it appeared again and went through this cycle several times as I snapped away.
